February rate drop from 5.9% to 5.0%.  Return Mazda buyers get a 1% reduction.

I'm going to try and find a sport to test on Saturday (also the GTI).
The 2007 Mazda3 Sport GT 5 spd. that we purchased in September of 2007 has been an absolutely perfect purchase for us.  My twin brother has a 3-door GTI, also a 2007 model, in black.  He won't admit it, but I think he's rued his purchase mainly because he's not getting 1.5 x the driving fun compared to the Mazda for 1.5 x the price!

The 2010 Mazda3 GTs will probably be that much more fun with the slightly larger 2.5 l engine shared with the new Mazda6.

You have a twin?  :o

To be fair, I think the Mz3 goes against the Rabbit and the Speed3 against the GTI. Still, I'll report my findings.

If you want AWD...pay more and get a WRX. Simple. Theres a reason why the MS3 costs less.

Um, ok... do you really think a buyer shopping for an MS3 would shy away because it costs $32K w/ AWD (estimate) vs $30K w/o?  I know if I were in the market, then I'd gladly pay the premium.

My comment was to the point that most complaints of the current MS3 were about it having too much power to the front wheels.  AWD would solve that.

Well, with discounts on the 08's...its significantly cheaper!

But yeah, I see what you're saying, MSRP wise.

Saw one in the flesh and it is even uglier than the photos would indicate.

Mazda, what have you done to my car?

Given I have two Mazdas makes it even worse!

If I were in the market for a Mazda3, I'd run to the Mazda store and pick-up the current version.

What is it about the smile that doesn't work??  Works OK on the RX8....is it because it's narrow??

I dunno...I think this is a terrible redo...

They should spray that black section body color and all would be right in the world.

This thread is getting a lot of views, might beat the old GTI thread.

The 2010 3 seems to be more quiet and refined than the previous generation but "feels" slower, maybe due to weight or sound insulation.

Will give you guys some feedback on the 3 Sport GT next week.

Agree, at least the current Corolla makes a decent attempt at styling. I think it's be best Corolla has been in long while.
