Yep, that call would appear to be in the ballpark. Or maybe still optimistic....which would be serious sh1t indeed....this financial thing has the potential to induce a ton of fear globally, if it already isn't; and it is very much a BIG THING. It is amazing how quickly things turn pessimistic. BTW, it wasn't me that sent you that PM.

Unlikely in one day, but if so it'd probably be the final capitulation and the buying opportunity of the century. 

Canadian equities look lots more vulnerable now than US stocks.  Look at the fat yields on some world-class US companies right now, they're getting very attractive... 12% yield to own GE and Citi?  MS and IBM, etc.  Canadian equities have a LOT further to fall because there's no yield.  Plus the commodity bust isn't over as oil going to $80, then $60, maybe $50, natural gas could drop 50%, and many energy projects in western Canada will be cancelled due to low commodity prices and tight credit.

Currently my supplier is selling a 5 year deal for:

Natural Gas

5 Year Flat Rate 38.9 ¢/m3

I was locked in at 26.9 cents/m3 

I want my old rate.

They automatically renew the contract unless you write within a short time after notification.  When my contract came up for renewal in spring, I opted out and went with the floating market rate instead.  Fortunately, the rate has floated downward since.  You can still lock-in again at any time later.
