Audi S4 2008 or 2009

Thinking of buying an Audi S4, should I wait for the 2009 next summer
or does anyone know if it would be wiser to buy a 2008.
I read somewhere that the 2009 will be a V6 340HP Supercharged not a V8 340HP.
Wouldn't know I guess until the release the 2009.

Does anyone have news?

I believe the 09 A4 (and presumably S4) will use the new platform that puts the engine a bit further back and the front axle forward (ala A5/S5), so if you really care about the handling or something.... *shrug*

Totally beyond my means and driving ability. :)

The s4 will use the same platform that underpins the a5 ... A 3.0 zupercharged v6 will power the lil beast :) expect somewhere around 330-340hp but remember that blown engines are easy to mod ... A $1000 chip might bring you closer to 370-380hp (well that's usually the gain with turbos)
what else I think they have an updated version of quattro on the new a4..
I'd wait...

I'd wait too...

Waiting gets you the very latest A4/S4 platform & technology ( and S-Tronic will probably be an option ), with lower deprecation.

It will also be less thirsty.

No brainer IMO.

I'd get the wagon if it's available, much sexier car.

....but on the other hand, the sound that V8 makes in the S4 alone makes it almost worth the price of admission.  Plus, from idle speed up to redline, it pulls like a freight train.  Amazing car.

Unless you get it in Auto, then it feels like a steamboat...
