The newcomer will replace the original 12-year-old Ka, and shares its underpinnings and engines with the Fiat 500.

The Fiat 500 is highly regarded in Euroland, no?

Yup - the 500 is a great retro car, and the Ka is not a bad runabout either. Too bad they are both too small and euro-looking to make it here.

Looks good.

Zipping around in a Ka ST would rock. 150 hp in a tiny car would be a hoot.

I wonder if Ford thought ahead to spec in NA safety standards? The Fiat 500 does extremely well in Euro crash tests, 5 star IIRC.

If M-B can persuade people into driving a SMART in Canadian conditions what's so difficult about getting people into a KA or a Fiat 500 ?    While we at at it how about Toyota slotting the Aygo under the Yaris.

The market for these very small cars is limited in NA I agree

Looks good, although I have driven the previous incarnation, and it drives like a shed on wheels.

A very small shed.
