Spotted in Fargo, North Dakota, a Subaru Baja.

Hah, saw one yesterday and the same colour.   Saw lots of interesting stuff on the way back from Moncton, then I realized it's the Atlantic National Car Show this weekend.  Saw lots more interesting stuff coming up from the US.

A DeLorean went by going in the opposite direction on the way into town today.

Nice.  I have a cousin down in Arizona that's got one, and he takes it for a spin pretty regularly.

You mean he only drives it from time to time?

Sweet! That’s what they called the “Estate” package, only for the GMC’s. Rare!

The car is about to have a log entry.

Things are always different when you cross the border. Tons of Subies through Vermont, of course, but lots of Rivian trucks in upper-crust Maine beach towns - they look sharp, especially from ¾ rear view.

Seen when we stopped for a soft ice cream, a young couple in their early twenties driving out a... 1992 classic colour "burgundy" Cadillac DeVille, a car over 30 years old but that one almost looks like new! They answered someone asking which model year it was, since front windows were down. Did not grab any picture but it was unusual to me.
Gone but not forgotten in chronological order: 2019 Volt, 2013 Volt, 2014 Spark EV, 2012 Volt and many others before...

Drove up north to visit family and friends over the long weekend

Stopped in on a buddy on the way for a couple hours. One of his three combines, this one under repair:

Riding around with him in various semi trailer grain trucks, checking out the operation:

Hauling from combines to truck with a grain cart and a track type 4WD tractor:

The two remaining combines stopped for supper:

I didn't get a pic of it, but the fam an I were at Seven Sisters Falls on Monday.  Some youths showed up on little 2-stroke, 2wd quads.  One kid was on a Banshee 350.  Just a beautiful piece of kit!

Pretty certain you would have loved my brothers place. He used to farm, and still has a few acres which seem mostly like an excuse to play around with old machinery, but his big thing is tinkering with older vehicles:

Deutz twin turbo diesel in his combine. He said 'You gotta hear this' and parked me in the engine bay while he went to start it up, but unluckily (or luckily) the battery had drained

A couple 6 cyl pickups he pulled out of the trees somewhere, one is an F100 he's fighting with the front drum brakes on

Another is a Chev squarebody the stepson will be driving, just needed a new starter and off it went:

Engine from one of his many V8 pickups:

A Fiero that was sitting in the weeds he fixed up, now his wife's summer DD

He's a huge fan of 'Vice Grip Garage'

Awesome! Those old trucks look ridiculously clean for how old and original they appear to be. Very cool!

So there's a community of entrepreneurial Lebanese people in Fredericton, several of which share the same last name. I don't know if they're all related, but I believe four live in my neighbourhood. One is a lawyer and property developer, he lives down the street from me and his brother lives across the street. Both drive fairly modest cars (Ram, Highlander, etc). The other two seem to go through cars like crazy in the last few years. What's funny is that both live in multiunit buildings: One in a two unit that is quite modest, on a very small corner lot. A friend used to live in the second unit and apparently her place wasn't great, but his side is obviously nicer. He has a driveway that can fit a single car, usually a Yukon Denali. The other lives in a much larger building, an old mansion converted into multiple units.

In the past couple of years I've seen the following cars at either property, sometimes at both:

- C8 Corvette
- new Supra
- 993 Targa
- 992 Carrera, guards red
- 992 Targa GTS, ice grey
- 992 Targa GTS, agate grey
- 992 Carrera with Aerokit, shark blue
- Bronco two door, green
- Bronco two door, orange
- Defender 110
- new Nissan Z
- BMW M8 Competition

On top of that, the bigger place had a tenant for a while who had a Lamborghini Urus and a BMW i8.

What's funny is that neither place has a garage, and like I said, the little place only has room for one car in the driveway so often these cars are street parked. I suspect they have a place to hide these cars away (one or both are property developers and landlords, at this point they own hundreds of units locally).
