Saw this nice R107 SL this morning at the local Farmer's Market.  This thing was pretty minty inside and out, and first time I've seen one with silver leather interior.  Timeless design imo!

Very cool! I'm weird in the sense that I'm not a huge fan of the R107. I love love love the Pagodas (a '70 was my wedding car), and I love the R129 and pre-facelift R230. Something about the 107s always just looked a bit awkward to me, but they're definitely neat cars.

Doubt if I would buy a R107 but I would love to have a R129 someday.  Bummer that I missed out on one a while back. I passed on a 280SL Pagoda back before I bought my S2000 because it was a little more than I wanted to spend at the time.  Probably worth twice that amount now..lol.

Dude, my wife would LOVE if I added a silver Pagoda to the collection. The one car...

No pic, but we were walking home from brunch yesterday and saw a newer Bentley Continental GTC parked on the street. I pointed it out to my wife and she said, "I thought it was an old person Chrysler".  ;D

I hear ya. Wife goes "What is that ?", in a disgusted tone yesterday as we drove back home. It was a C8. Anything extrovert she claims to hate, but somehow when the extrovert is an SUV instead of a muscle / sports / exotic car she like it  ::).

I've been asked if the Vantage was the new Chrysler Sebring at a gas station before...

In fairness it was a guy in an Altima with a plate frame from a local subprime-hut... I try not to get too offended by non-car-people and their commentary.

A neighbour who drives a Corolla with a perma-squealing power steering rack told me earlier in the summer that my car (presumably the 360 when I was driving it almost daily) was too loud.  :)  ::)

When I had my black Buick Reatta it was crazy how many had any clue what it was. I had some crazy guesses- Porsche, Ferrari (!), Toyota MR2, Monte Carlo, and some old guy who insisted that Citroen made something that looked exactly the same (I searched the lookalike to no avail) He actually owned one when he lived in New Zealand and was thrilled to see it.

Not Citroën, but French: the Matra 530 had similar styling cues, except it was much smaller of course:

^^^ The guy has style. Not only there are no chrome 20" rims but his shirt matches the car's upholstery  :fall:

Hmmm that’s interesting. It does have some similarities. I was never able to find anything close.

Guessing the Porsche is the 914, another mid engine car with flip up headlights.

The Reatta has different proportions for sure. One yard in town there's a fellow with two or three of them, always make me look as it's just not the regular GM design

Went to Home Depot yesterday and saw both a 124 Spider and a Solstice in the parking lot, both with tops down. It was 23° yesterday which is insane for November.
