The two-doors down neighbour, the local Ford dealer, has a fun family fleet these days: Grabber Blue Mach-e, "Kombi-blue" Bronco Sport Badlands, yellow "big" Bronco Badlands 4-door with fabric roof.

The Bronco looks odd in person, like a proper 2-door with a limo stretch added by an aftermarket converter shop. Like it wasn't meant to be.

Wife's comments: Mach-e "Looks like someone sat on it"  ;D, Bronco: "I much prefer the smaller one".

Right accross the street, the accountant has a silver Mach-e. Fun cars in the 'hood  :)

Steeeeve!!!!!!

Blurry's what you get when you whip out your ph in traffic (at a light - stopped - probably still an $800 fine and a 7 month license suspension - better off DUI  :P) and snap a pic from 4 cars back...

Seen that in Winkler MB on Saturday...damn I love those '67-68 FBs.  Saw it about 20 minutes later coming out of the DQ parking lot and made sure to give the car a bit of beans and a thumbs up as I drove by (I was driving the kids 5.0).  "Mine" def sounds better.

Also, forgot I got a better pic of that old Dodge in Morden for Bubba...still no idea exactly which model it is...but it's a Bubba car.

Funny you should say that.  I agree that the 'real' Broncos I've seen in real life now at the dealerships are really, really odd looking.  Without the enormous Sasquatch-pkg 35-in tires, the rubber looks much too small.  I've only seen 4-doors so far, and every one of them really does look like a weird project 'stretch' that someone's welded together at home in their garage.  I hate to say it, but the Bronco Sports really do look better in person.

Now... a 2-door Bronco with big wheels... that'll be where it's at.

I always get my old dodges wrong. I knew you would know. Was the Polara the same as a Monaco, like a trim level?

My dad had a 69 coronet sedan a bit smaller than the above mentioned cars. It was about the size of his 65 valiant.

According to Allpar, the Monaco was a Polara trim for 1965.  Monaco dropped the Polara name in 1966.

As a 80’s kid when I hear ‘Dodge Monaco’ I think of these. Don’t even remember actually ever seeing one. They also were called the Eagle Premier.

They were only sold as Eagles in Canada, while in the USA Dodge dealers got them as well.  The Intrepids, Concords, Visions, etc., that followed inherited the longitudinally-mounted engine from the Renault-designed Premier/Monaco.

I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

My neighbour added an 8th vehicle to his collection:

Not his car in the pic, but it's also without the white stripes, and painted Rosso Scuderia instead of Rosso Corso. And different alloys. I'm promised a ride once I'm better from my hernia surgery!

So once I was fine from the surgery, I seriously hurt my back while testing the 3rd row of the XC 90. Had to walk with a cane for a few days... Still on meds. Wife blames my stupidity, I blame the 2nd-row seat mechanism. Delayed my CS ride until I'm 100% good, getting there but don't want to screw up things by climbing down in a car whose ground clearance is the lenght of my middle finger.

But had a chat with the neighbour while the CS was idling in front of my house. With all the snap-crackle-pop German hardware in our area, I told him how incredibly quiet this thing is. Then he stabbed the throttle. Holy sh!t this thing ZINGS! Flat-plane crank V8 revs up in to time, sings like an F1 when prodded.

Saw at the local indie’s shop. Had the shop logos all over it. Supercharged 3.5 in a 5th gen hatch. Looked very well put together. Should have grabbed a pic of the whole car but didn’t. Little Civic must haul ass.

No kidding eh Seafoam?  I don’t think he has any plans on covering it up based on the deflector on the front. Anyway, fun car I’m sure nonetheless. Neat little shop, they specialize in LS swaps, but will work on anything. One of the lowest shop rates around.

Not quite on the weekend, but feels like the weekend since we're on vacation. Newer Jeep Wrangler decked out military style in downtown Gananoque. And yesterday an old CJ in Bloomfield that was restored mint & then some.

That car must understeer like a sonofabitch.  All that weight far ahead of the front wheels!

But, it does great wheelies in reverse!
