Cycling into Campbellville today and had approx 15-20 Porsche 911s go by in the other direction. Noticed a couple of GT3's in the group. Also sounded great.

Still keep my eyes open for that new Corvette somebody bought.

While sitting into my (gen 2) red Volt for the green light to turn left, a white (gen 2) Volt came in front of me to turn (on his) left, while a blue (gen 2) Volt crossed the intersection...

We were taking a Sunday drive along the Lakeshore and came up behind a red Volvo 1800S, similar to the one in the photo below.  Its side vent windows were swung open, something you don't see every day.

Lovely bit of automotive history but no fun to be in its exhaust wake.  Talk about smelly.  It was so bad, we had to veer off for a bit and let someone else have the, ah, "pleasure".  ;D . No chance to pass him on that road.

That will be a case of an improperly loaded trailer, then.  Also, too big of a trailer for the truck, and likely going too fast.

So a buddy of mine picked up a 1977 911S a couple of weeks ago.  He says it was the cheapest, running driving air cooled 911 in North America (although cheap is a relative term).  He took me for a spin in it this afternoon.  What a car.  Not fast, but because it's so small, light, and has an open top, it feels fast.  Also, it's a car that has to be driven.

His plan is to get it sorted this winter, drive it with its patina all next summer, then the winter after, start the full restoration.

^^^^^Damn cool.

Saw a yellow C7 Vette with a "Life is too short to drive boring cars" license plate frame.  Got me thinking.

Nice, pretty much the same as my car but a targa with a 2.7.

Front end looks a little high, can easily be lowered with the use of a 11mm wrench.   Also, have a look at the top of the struts to see if the North American spacer is still in there.   (bumper height laws)
Message me if he's looking for any bits of info or parts.

^^^He's already done a ton of research, and seems to know what he wants and needs to do.  The car has a 108 000kms, so he's shopping around for a full engine out rebuild.

He'll do a lot of the work himself.  He restores old motorcycles, and has a Norton Commando in his stable.

Seen tonight at my local FCA dealership, 3 Fiata's parked out front.  The black one is an Abarth, the white one is a 2018 and no telling what years the Abarth and red one are as there were no window stickers on them.  ALL 3 are automatics.

Yeah, if it hasn't already been done there are a few good upgrades to do to the 2.7 to make it last.(new head studs and thread inserts in the cases come to mind)
