Accident on #1 between Falcon Lake and West Hawk Lake. East bound Semi in north ditch/slough and what appears to be camper/car parts strewn about. No doubt some ahole tried to pass. Someone had to have died. Did not look good.

(...) it's such a great looking car but reviews of the driving experience seem to be mixed.

...it all depends on what else you drove. It's still the most fantastic machine I've reviewed, on ice, in snow and on dry pavement.

This upcoming Saturday is the All British Car Day at Britannia Beach here in Ottawa.
I hope to be there in my Mini...we shall see if she is fixed by then....

But it's a German car.   :stick:
Rover initially designed it...so that counts for me!

Also, the British Monarchy is German....

Well I suppose however you can justify your German car being British......whatever helps you sleep at night.      :rofl2:

Any update on the repairs?
Sure, update is the killer was the power steering pump was shorting out. Needed new pump. Car runs great now, and is getting the rest of the things done to it to make it 100% now. Maintenance, sensors replaced, etc. Might take a while and I am fine with that with this nice weather...get to thrash the Alfa.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Trans Canada 2 lane.  Small turnoff on north side, someone decided to go there which meant stopping in eastbound traffic. Semi noticed too late pulled into oncoming traffic to avoid the car in front of him and killed a father and son.  There’s no way to survive a beacon with a semi truck.

Kid driving the truck was/is 21 or 22 if I recall.  Sure he doesn’t feel so good.

A rare sight! A road going Renault powered Lotus Europa. Likely a S2 model. Saw in Victoria, BC.

Not seen on the wknd, but saw a new Supra this afternoon in white. ???  Who would buy a white one?

Frankly, after all the hoopla, it didn't really look too special. I didn't like all the vents and trash, but it's not aimed at my generation.

Agreed. Up until the last gen I always thought the Galant was a pretty good looking car.

VR4 FTW.

No fewer than 3x Peugeot 308 GTi just today in the area between Pontarlier and Métabief (2 from the neighbouring canton of Vaud).

Sporty. But in a refined, softly spoken kind of way.

The local Loblaws Superstore had a promotion last wknd. It was "Shop like a Mother" and in the parking lot there was a monster truck with a body wrap promoting "Shop like a Mother". The truck did a few laps around the parking lot which was a non event since it had mufflers on it, and all the staff had Tee Shirts with "Shop like a Mother" lettering on the front of them.

My first impression was the missing noun. I mean with a monster truck as part of the promo, it should have read "Shop like a Mother Trucker".  But worse, I overheard people people wondering about the lettering on the back of the employee Tee Shirts that read, #SLAM. With a quick glance it looked like the word Islam. I assume it was supposed to be "hashtag SLAM", but the font and letter spacing was very condensed and poorly designed.

Yup! Somebody in Loblaws marketing department seriously screwed this promo up.
