Folks driving around Montreal to Kingston keep an eye out for Italian cars this Sunday. Big meet in at Chateau Mentebello. Will take video, pictures for you guys of course.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

VW Westfalia southbound on I29, similar to the picture.  I'm guessing the driver wasn't going 75 mph.

Keep forgetting to add this one.

Was in Burlington VT a couple of weeks ago. Saw 7 Subarus while trying to pull out from my parking space. Must have easily seen 1,000 over the day.

I was down Stateside last week for work and was really surprised how many hybrids and EVs i saw on the relatively short drive through Maine to Campobello Island.  That part of Maine is mostly backwoods blue-collar and I saw plenty of Priuses and Volts.  Many more than what i see around here.

Connecticut is the land of Subaru, Volvo, and SAAB.  Lots of 9-3s and 9-5s hanging on...

On Sunday night I was on the autobahn late in the evening headed up, fairly rural open at this point. Experienced/saw the effect of the newest Matrix / Active LED lighting system when an Audi Q7 passed me. I noticed that a lot of the trees/side of the road were lit up, as if he had his full-beams on, but yet I never experienced any glare. As he passed another car further up, I saw the light beam "part" again- keeping a large beam of light forward and to the side but hallowing out where the other car being overtaken was.

Too bad you guys don't have it activated over there. Would be a huge safety benefit.

They finally got approved for the USA so hopefully that means Canada will also.

Took the train to the centre Frankfurt/Main, saw a Honda Odyssey. Another one of those "consulate families" posted here; it was registered in Frankfurt.

On the drive home from the train station, saw a Merc GL500. Quite rare because of its sheer size and thirst. Also saw an imported Mustang.

My 2018 Crosstrek has adaptive LED headlights.  I've used them quite a bit and they are effective.  Oncoming cars cause the high beams to turn off in some fashion.

I don't know if they are of the "matrix" design.  Perhaps a simpler "auto on/off" switch?

I think there is a difference between auto hi/low beams and adaptive matrix. The later can adjust the amount of light from each side (driver/passenger) to give the maximum light without blinding other drivers.

At least that is my interpretation of it.

I think you are right, especially given the news report of it only being considered now.  It looks like there might be a single cluster of LEDs in the Subaru and some are turned off when the high beam assist is active.  Not sure though.

Nice indeed!  A matrix of 25 individual LEDs, 5 per cluster, each of them dimmable.  Wow.

I am impressed.
