Mom's new ride.

So who in the family is next in line for this beautiful beast? :)

There will likely be some sort of bidding war (or ultimate rock-paper-scissors showdown) between my 3 brothers and I.

If you win... i want first dibs on the Cayenne  ;D

Can I pay one of you to be a proxy for me?

Also, did you mention once that the car is ordered as a 2+2? Was that a custom order?

They ordered it with the performance seats.  Dad thought he read, after the fact, that option also meant the rear seats would be reduced to 2 buckets that don't fold down, like in the AMG GT4.  That would have been a problem since they often need to haul bulky items (including 4 dogs) to the cottage.  Luckily he was misinformed and the car only came with a pair of performance seats and a full, folding back seats.

Got it. Thanks. What an awesome car.

Incidentally, I was visiting our local MB dealer and was quite smitten with the E-class. They had a "standard" E400 in the showroom that my wife and I sat it. Wow, what a luxurious, comfortable interior. So of course I've been playing on the MB site building E400s and E43s...and then this shows up :)
I love it when a plan comes together.

Yes. The E wagon would be my choice as well. There's a nice new blue E400 down the street from me and it's lovely. It's certainly the most expensive wagon in its segment but it has the nicest interior and a proper engine.

I'm still going to keep my eyes peeled when the C43 and C wagon arrives.

We were in the sedan, silver, stately and understated. Wagon is another level...

I have to say, there is still magic in the three-pointed star and may be one of the cars that gets me away from a manual...maybe I'm just getting old though :)

Second dibs on the Cayenne, lol.  My mom doesn't even drive, let alone an E63 AMG wagon...

Saw a North American Honda Accord coupé and Dodge Challenger.

It's always a bit funny seeing them forced to use a odd-sized plate in Germany to fit North American sized bumper cutouts.

Clio V6 and DeLorean - fantastic.

Wow #1 - I didn't know Mercs came in any other colour but white, black, or some shade of silver.  Dealer in Wpg - drive by and I swear the only thing I saw with a "colour" on it was the orange Dodge RAM Sport pickup in the back.
https://goo.gl/maps/9nJG3TAyHWv - oh look! There are 2 reds - granted this is probably years ago.  Generally...a sea of non-colours.

Wow #2 - Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...Ford GT.....pretty.  :lick:

Cruise Night at the Pony Corral in Winnipeg.

I'm a Mopar guy so...

Of course, there were other cars there, too, including a 1976 Volga sedan, imported from Russia last year!

Same colour as the one I reviewed last winter. I'm surprised we don't see more of these on our roads. It's a relative bargain compared to all the high-end stuff I see on our roads.

I've read bad things about how they drive. On another forum I'm on a guy had one alongside some other pretty serious exotics and he hated it.

Really. Can you elaborate. While a hybrid would not be my choice for a sports car I had thought all things considered this was pretty good?

Unfortunately I don't remember the details, just that he was completely unimpressed with it.
