Mentioned a sighting of this winter-friendly Miata before, but this time I was able to snap a pic:

Saw a first gen(?) Avalon on the highway between S’toon and Regina. It was absolutely minty looking, driven by an older couple.

Just like the one below:

Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

I think that’s 2nd gen. This is first.

So I went with my BIL to help him pick up a dining room set from Kijiji (truck life).  The guy who we picked it up from had a nice previous gen Ram Laramie Longhorn Ecodiesel sitting in the driveway.  Probably a $75k truck when it was new.  I asked him how liked his Ecodiesel, and he said he liked it at first, but in the past six months, the price of diesel has risen considerably, and his operating costs are now about what they would be if he had a Hemi.  Kinda defeats the purpose of having an EcoDiesel, I guess.

Then he mentioned about how he was having to juggle delivery of his new dining set.  I joked with him about how he has a truck, he never needs to get delivery again.  He responded with 'It's a Laramie, I've never hauled anything in it'.  I just gave him a blank look.

If I was getting a dinning room I would have it delivered also and I own a truck

It wasn't so much that he was getting delivered.  I get that part.  It's that he just automatically dismissed putting anything at all in the back of his truck, simply because it's a high end Laramie.

Huh. An exact opposite of a landscaper I once worked with. He hauled cement bags in his STI. Of these two I think he is a more reasonable person  ;D

I bet the driver alleged they had their foot firmly on the brake the entire time.  Did anyone see brake lights?  I didn't see any brake lights.

Passing by the local Porsche dealership today.  Noticed a couple of old air cooled Porsches just sitting on the lot.  One was a turbo.

Oh, and an apparently winter driven GT3.  No big deal, ya know.

One of my neighbours winter drives his late model 911. Summer car is a Miata. Hero.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

They were both super clean, inside and out.  I'd probably be shocked to learn what they are worth, especially the Turbo.  I'm guessing easily as much as one of the new 911's on the lot...!

1984 would be the first year of the Carrera, pretty much only the engine was different.  1983 SC is a 3.0 with CIS injection, 1984 Carrera is a 3.2 with Motronic electronic fuel injection.
