Seen on the Weekend Thread

I was away at a wedding in Kent county (NB).  Some guy there has a couple of 197? Caddy convertibles for sale, but I didn’t see what he wanted for them.

On the way home, a Mountie was behind me on the highway, for the first ten km, he was veering over the white line, the right side wheels on the paved shoulder.  WTF?

Then I did catch up to and pass the MG from the Great Race, so I felt happy.

There’s nothing like going to a family wedding (a niece) and having the bride regale everyone with stories that she heard about you from her professor, one of your former classmates.

Forgot the other sight:  halfway down an off-ramp was a big (40 ft) RV, towing a Miata, facing the wrong way.  The driver was getting out, I think he was going to unhitch the Miata so he could back up.

I believe this is a 1954-1955 Sunbeam Mk III rather than the earlier Sunbeam-Talbot 90 drophead coupe. I would imagine this is one is very rare especially in left hand drive. Spotted in Jasper, Alberta.

I think you are right.  A car that became the Hillman Super Minx IIRC.

Post ride coffee in downtown Galt and find a bunch or Morgans and MGs in the lot. Always nice to see.

Only took a couple of pics.

I saw a very beautifully done FR-S done in the style of Time Attack or race car. It's not for everyone, but it wasn't done in a "let's just rice it up" manner. Everything of the highest quality and tons of attention to detail. The rear supports for the large wing were beautiful carbon fiber. The strut stoppers where super high quality. There was a beautiful carbon rear lower diffuser. It had aftermarket but OEM looking tail lights with Aventedor style bulbs.

It had bolt on over fenders with visible, tasteful black anodized screws (car was red BTW). There was a lower rocker guard diffuser. In front a tow hook and an adjustable carbon splitter. The wheels were black mesh type and the tires were MASSIVE. In large white stencil they said "Autosport" to look like a race slick.

The car was fantastic and the nicest modded car I've seen in years on the street. I was super impressed....as wished I could have snapped some photos.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Didn’t know where else to put this, this is good as any I guess. My parents ‘94 Roadmaster which has 350,000+km was due to be retired (starting to rust pretty badly), so my Dad was keeping his eye open for another car.  He came home with this a couple weeks ago, another ‘94 Roadmaster. I felt he should have looked for something more modern, but he knows these cars very well and my Mom is very happy with it, so that’s what matters. It has 57,000km and drives like new.

Whoa....where the hell do you people find these cream puffs?!?!?!

Did they pick it up in MB by any chance?  Friend of mine was telling me about this cherry Roadmaster on Varagesale...and then couldn't find it to show me (he likes big old ugly GM cars...he also loves 15" wheels...and misses his 81 Z28 that he hasn't had for 30 yrs...could still rock a mullet...bastard has all his hair...mofo).  Can't be too many white minty low mileage Roadmasters out there.

Seen this AM.  A Google maps guy sitting on my street drinking his tea.  Little Fiat 500 with the mast on top, laptop on the seat and two cell phones.  Went out and chatted to him.   He says it is a lonely job driving around all day...he has been doing Guelph for the last 3 weeks.    I have no idea if his Fiat was one with ac or not.

Immaculate black 1961 Coupe de Ville at the Home Depot.

Identical to this guy:

Saw that black 500 over lunch downtown.  Windows all down, so maybe no A/C.

Hard to believe how skinny the pillars are, and only two per side.  :o

There's an old guy around here that drives a white late 60's convertible.  I see him all the time and he's hard to miss with his big ten gallon hat.  ;D

Would have been cool story, but alas, a SK car  ;D

Just remembered this one:
Saw a cop with a motorcycle pulled over.  Didn't seem at all unusual until I passed by and saw why he was pulled over.
Dude was towing a lawnmower.   :o

Kind of a follow up. A 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Talisman in what looked to be excellent shape.

Similar to this, but in grey and with the solid wheel covers.

My sister's boyfriend acquired his great aunt's 1976 Camaro.  She died in 1988 and it last ran in 1990.  It sat in a barn ever since.  It's pretty solid overall, and has only 70k kms.  Mice chewed up the hood liner but the interior was untouched. The original spare tire is there - uninflated and there's a bottle for inflation.

Some basic TLC,  fresh fuel & it fired up this evening.

Would be neat to have one of these land barges to waft around in.  Big ol' Caddy or Lincoln would be one of the cars in my fantasy 12 bay garage.
