I was behind a black C8 Convertible the other day with the top down for about 10 sec, and just like in pics, to my eye it looks WAY better than the coupe.  I'm kicking myself for not following it into the parking lot so I could finally get a close up look (not like I was going anywhere urgent!).  I don't know what it is, but every time I see a C8 it catches my eye, but always leaves me feeling that something is "off" and I don't know how else to describe it.  I'm hoping seeing one up close and not moving will either change my mind, or help pinpoint what it is.

If you were in your C7, even more of an opportunity to talk to a C8 owner.  The C8 owner wouldn't just dismiss you as a run-of-the-mill gawker, but rather as a fellow Corvette owner.

I wasn’t because I had just come from a garden Centre, or I’m sure I would have thought of following right away.  Would have been fun to see them side by side since they’re both black.

A very nice Triumph TR4A in Waterton, Alberta. Must have been a well sorted car as you need to drive a bit from any other sizable town/city.

The backdrop is beautiful, too.  Really wish I lived in that area!

One like this - same colours - drove by.  Heard this nice rumble coming down the road...waited for it...sweet... 8)

Look at the size of that trunk...gotta be a full 4' past the back tire. Load it with bags of cement mix and go pull some wheelies on cruise night.  ;D

I saw a Hyundai XG 2 days ago - was in great shape.

Saw a black one in the grocery store parking lot.  She was driving it like it was made of glass or something.   ::)

Sounds just like the Volvo XC90 driver I was following down a gravel road. Seems the SUV couldn't go over 25 kph.

There was a dark red one with stripes cruisin' around last night... and a few cars behind it was a red NSX-T.  The Acura's clean, sleek styling sure made the Vette look gaudy by comparison.

Yesterday I saw a Polaris Slingshot slowly creeping towards me in the oncoming lane with lots of traffic backed up behind.

I agree.  I haven't seen a new NSX yet in the flesh but have seen a few C8s and they still look a bit awkward to my eyes.  The NSX looks great.

Anyway, saw an LC-500 approaching me on a secondary highway this weekend and the thing that struck me most was how wide it looked.

Last night at Costco I spotted the taillights of the revised 2022 Bolt. Drove slowly past it, noticed the "Bolt EUV" badging. Not a manufacturer plate. Already out?
