CX-90 PHEV sitting at 2.4 l/100 km after one year.

Jesus! that's amazing, specially for such a bit vehicle.   How long is your commute?

According to Google Map, my wife's commute is 4.3 km one-way  ;D We don't even need to charge on a daily basis. The Mazda hardly ever leaves our suburb's limits, and when it does it's for errands a 'burb or two away. The only road trips so far have been my return trip to Ottawa in Sept. 2023, and a family weekend in Vermont in early Spring. Next month we're heading to the lower Saint-Lawrence, so the ICE will get a workout!

Last week I commuted, got stuck in traffic for hours, ran errands and drove my "pandemic test loop" with a 575 hp V8 Jag F-Type at not quite legal speeds  :shuffle:. Yes, I WOT'd the kitty as much as I could to hear it roar.

Somehow, I managed 12.5 l/100 km on the tank of premium.

On a recent highway drive, I did 5 km at 100 km/h and at 105 km/h.  The increase in fuel consumption was 6%, from 6.2 to 6.6 L/100 km.

2013 Corolla LE, auto.

June 13, 2024: 204,261 km, Premium 28.332L @ $1.929/L= $54.65
April 12, 2024: 200,640 km last fill-up.

28.332L / 3,621 km (204,261 - 200,640) blended avg = a lot of km were in EV mode : 0,783L / 100km
Lifetime avg 1.83 L/100km

About the same as a Ram 1500 with the V6  :D

Really would have made sense for us to get the Rx450h hybrid back in the day, but I could not convince my wife of the technology at that point. Liked the way it handled better as well, with the battery pack weight down low

Our highlander Hybrid is about 9L/100km.  I'm convinced if it would be my commuter it would be closer to 8L

That is splitting hairs no? A litre/100km is a $1.50. How long is the daily commute?

Did a little Canada Day trip of 150kms return to friends cottage. Even with some stop and go through a small town for part of trip I pulled off 7.8 (or 36 MPG) in non-turbo CX-5. Pretty pleased with that. I know I could do better on a pure highway run.

Over 6200 kms of my normal driving mix (a lot of city driving) I am at 10.5 (26.9 MPG).
If you want more in life you have to make an effort.

7.8 = 30 US MPG

10.5 = 22 US MPG

What amount is city driving?

I would guess at least 60%. It includes summer and winter driving.
