OK, today's trip was to Hockley Valley which is approx 100 km (each way) of back roads and a few small towns. Sunroof open both directions.

Going = 5.2 L/100
Small headwind, a bit of traffic getting out of town, and some hwy construction.

Return = 5.0 L/100
Similar conditions but small tailwind. Had it down to 4.7 L/100 as I was coming into Guelph where I stopped to pick up some food on the way home.

That's more in line to what I would expect.

That's really not far from diesel territory either.  I'd have been 4.5 or so in those conditions.

RX is sitting at 10.4 overall. Nice listening to the Levinson, but filling up the tank is starting to hurt

Yesterday? Maybe I should organize that hike up in Pretty River (Collingwood) that we didn't get to thanks to a world pandemic?

Filled up the today and the car said 6.9 L/100 since last fill. I forgot to reset the trip so can't verify the car's math but it is good enough for me. I'd guess that I did a 70/30 mix of hwy/city over the last tank.

The gauge was hovering around 1/8 and I was able to put 38L in a 50L tank.

25.5L/466,2km on gas only (not counting electric portion)
= 5,47L/100km mostly highway @ 100km/h

Is this the GTI or did I miss a new car reveal?

You missed the reveal although there wasn't a proper S&S for it...yet.

Sold the GTI and picked up a '22 Corolla.

So daughter and wife seem to have the same driving habits. They work within a 10 minute drive from home, the Accent was at 12.0 l/100 km and the Odyssey at 20.0 l/100 km. I beat both numbers with the Suburban loaner  :rofl2:

Took both cars to run local errands, dropped both by 0.3 l/100 km. I don't know how they do it...

Cambridge - Warwick -- Mostly 401/402 into a headwind with cruise at 118 kph = 6.1 L/100
Warwich - London -- All secondary roads with a tail wind, rush hour/construction traffic once in London, cruise set at 90 kph = 5.1 L/100
London - Cambridge -- 401 with a quarter wind, cruise at 118 kph = 5.9 L/100

The Rolla is now on 16" X-Ice Snow winter tires which drive very nice and where slightly quieter than the 18" Michelin Prime (?) stock tires.

Like running a fan and using balancing damper to slow it down to the airflow needed.

Primacy is a common Michelin OE tire. Could be Premiers too?

Nice numbers cruising at close to 120.
