Where is this 130 kph zone in Canada?

Chaos is in the US. It's 80 mph.

I don't believe he is.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

As if nobody here has ever exceeded the speed limit on a road trip.

But he specifically said 130 and 90 zones. I'm confused.

x2 because Indian River is in Canada..

More confused that a 5.0L supercharged got 7.7 when it should be double that.

I was on the 401. Going with the flow of traffic, safely. Also back roads within the margin of an 80km road...

No cylinder deactivation, 8 speed ZF, 91 Shell premium fuel and a really good tune for my 620hp. It basically idles at 130...I mean 100.

I was flabbergasted too, but doing my calculations, it really did get that mileage. I usually average about 11-13 in my around town driving.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

must be the 8 speed and a very tall overdrive. I doubt the tune is lean (or you should be very worried if it is) so that wouldn't explain it.

Yeah the one near Peterborough. About 30 mins from the 401 or so. Took 416 from Manotick to 401 to Indian River. I was just driving, not navigating.

And yes the 8speed means a world of difference, at highway speeds it is close to idling.

When I drive to Ottawa , I will take 45 to 7 from Cobourg , it around 50 km short than 416 and 401
And nicer drive

Yeah, taking hwy7 & you would've probably got into the low 7's for sure. I did 7, to the 407 & 410 in the SLK last fall & ended up somewhere around 7.2, with some full out passing on hwy7.

I bet you were doing more than 130 in the passing lane  :rofl2:
Some many stupid people will be doing 85 , they come to a passing lane than they doing 120 and once the lane ends end they back down to 85  ::)

Yes. Could not be bothered to write the nuances of speed, sorry. Was going very legal speeds on the highways and country roads, always.

130 zone crazy. I guess 80 mph doesn't make it seem as bad. You got really good mileage considering. The old Skyactiv 3 would've been in the 7s at 130-140.

I think he was referring to km/h? Anyhow that is crazy good mileage considering the only XF-S on fuelly was showing a 13.2 MPG average (17.8L/100km) on PREMIUM. Need deep pockets.

Yah 130 km/h = 80 mph.

The ex's Explorer has been doing about 16-17 L/100km not towing the trailer. At least it only requires regular. I would only own a vehicle that needs premium if there was a Costco gas station in town.

Wait, what?  This isn't the expedition that you use to tow your trailer, right?  I'm also assuming that's 16-17L/100km in the city.  That's Tundra levels of fuel economy, right there, and the Explorer is a mid-size SUV!!!!

Midsize SUV's are terrible in real-world city driving due to their weight and all the stop-and-go activity. I got 14.5 out of the 4Runner I just returned, and 15.0 from an Atlas V6. I would probably be in the 20's with a Tundra  :rofl2: Heck, I was in the 12's with a CX-5 2.5t.

Cars, however... 7.9 with a 201 hp Forte5 GT.

Older V8 tech. But the V6 was not a whole lot better combined with a transmission that grenades itself.

The 4Runner V8 averages 15-16 L/100km on Fuelly. We were looking for one but they were going for $10k+.

Went 738.7 kms on 41.8 litres in the Civic . Calculated out to about 5.6 litres per 100. Car gauge said 5.5 . Mostly rural /highway driving.

Over 60 bucks to fill. I don't think it has ever cost me that much before.
