Dora tha Gas Guzzling Explorer after 1486 km. :rofl2: Towing range has been 176 to 246 km.  We also learned not to trust the distance to empty metre. We ran out of gas when it said 8km remaining, about 5km from the nearest gas station.

Whooo-eee. You stole the record for worst fuel consumption from me!

How much of that is towing that trailer of yours, and how much is just running empty?  I have no doubt if I was pulling your trailer with my truck, it would also be up there.  I think I'd have a lot more range, though.  Bigger tank.

82% towing. The 85 litre tank kind of sucks for towing. I'd imagine towing with a 100 kW Cybertruck or 115 kW F150 Lightning would also be bad.

You mean kWh of energy contained into HV battery of the above, not kW as power.

Everyone uses kW as the unit of storage for EV, but I guess usually battery capacity is referred to in Ah or Wh so kWh should be more appropriate.

Sunday's trip to Moosomin covered 678 km, consumed 49.256 litres of fuel, 7.3 L/100 km.  Not bad considering the rain and wind.

About 2700km trip to Vancouver Island and back across the Rockies. Readout shows 11.8L/km for the trip but likely 12.2L/100km actual. About where Mr Ridgeline is rated for. OK for 170k kms on the old girl.

That's not bad at all for a Ridgeline. I don't think my 07 Highlander would do any better.

Did a 250km round trip in the MDX today. Double lane highway at 120 and a about 10km city. Ended up at 8.6.

Took the Jag for a nice long trip to Indian River and back. 3 adults in car, one very excited 5 year old. 130 and 90 zones. Great drive albeit with some 401 moments...horrific drivers. Mileage was fantastic I might say.

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Yeah, damn that's some good fuel economy for a 500+ supercharged V8 loaded up with people.  Must be just idling at those speeds.  I'm assuming this has at least an 8 speed transmission, so that likely helps.  No cylinder deactivation tech though right?

Is the fuel economy readout anywhere near accurate? The Land Rover's is much much much too optimistic when back checked with fuel volumes at the pump.

130 zone crazy. I guess 80 mph doesn't make it seem as bad. You got really good mileage considering. The old Skyactiv 3 would've been in the 7s at 130-140.

I think he was referring to km/h? Anyhow that is crazy good mileage considering the only XF-S on fuelly was showing a 13.2 MPG average (17.8L/100km) on PREMIUM. Need deep pockets.

Yah 130 km/h = 80 mph.

The ex's Explorer has been doing about 16-17 L/100km not towing the trailer. At least it only requires regular. I would only own a vehicle that needs premium if there was a Costco gas station in town.

Wait, what?  This isn't the expedition that you use to tow your trailer, right?  I'm also assuming that's 16-17L/100km in the city.  That's Tundra levels of fuel economy, right there, and the Explorer is a mid-size SUV!!!!

Chaos is in the US. It's 80 mph.
