^^^ I wish!

She's trying to heal from a terrible case of plantar fasciitis otherwise wouldn't have moved back here.  It's like having a caged hyena in the house sometimes...

She's seeing a sports physio and has hours of excercises, stretches and other stuff to do every day. She's only been pursuing treatment for two weeks and is making some gains already, thank gawd.

That sucks at her age!! Usually its us old guys (like you or myself) that gets that... my 1st bout of it was when I was in my mid 30's, then early 40's and never again since.

Too much walking in alpine ski boots. That’s one of the worst things you can do.  Working on skis in the resort is terrible. Last winter half of her friends couldn’t finish the season thanks to bad cases of plantars.

She had a mild case end of last season but didn’t tackle it and it got steadily worse this winter and now has to be attended to.

The kid must be light on the throttle.

Clearly she's found out it makes no real sense to full throttle a Forester.  It can't get out of its own way no matter.   :rofl2:

Does she have to wear one of those plantar fascitis socks when she sleeps?

I did...it helped along with everything else.

I've been averaging 14 L/100km in my Sequoia maybe half/half mix of city and highway.

628.5 km on 50.35 litres in the truck. Just shy of 8 litres per 100 kilometers on the highway and rural roads.

It still hasn't seen rain, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Yup! Same with the S2000! Foul weather is what the Lexus is for... or press cars, whatever it is I'm using as a daily driver on any given week.

Not an Aston unfortunately but my F12 BMW 6'er does an average of 8l/100km on a daily 70km run to work and back. Mostly mix of rural and highway and can be heavy footed

Had a BMW 2006 630 petrol before this that ran 7.4l/100km and was pretty good but note it took 1l of oil every 3,000km and BMW stuck by that was all within tolerances.  :-\

It's interesting to see how fuel economy has improved. In a similar type of driving and average speed my 2017 X5 and our 2011 328iXdrive have been getting about the same mileage.

Absolutely.  I had the same 328 as you, and my fuel costs in the Pilot are essentially equivalent....uses a touch more fuel, but takes regular rather than premium.

Averaging 9.2 in the IS-F...lots of pedal down to hear that glorious intake howl at 3,800RPM...and the engine singing at redline. :)

Wtf, how?  How is a Sonata getting 10's in normal city driving, and a V8 Lexus is getting 9's with spirited driving?

8 speed tranny...very efficient V8...relatively light car...not 100 percent city.

Not to mention that beige 'rolla granny pushing Ron's bumper for several miles down the highway trying to get him past 80  ;D
