You read the odometer in km and the pump displays fuel in liters. Why go to the trouble of converting to mpg? And are those US or Imp gallons?

That's some cheap driving, and as noted no complicated technology required

Because I can . ;D I do both and it's imperial .I don't calculate US It means nothing to me. Imperial is what Canada used before the metric system was adopted.

Before they put ethanol in the gas here it was better than that. Hard to believe I've owned this vehicle for over 11 years.

Was bored and did a calculation on what it costs for either IQ or I to get to work. It's almost the same distance of 35km each way. Total 70km.

Audi S8. $16.75

Lexus IS300 $11.50

Audi A5 $9.80

Prius (if only charged one way) $2.00
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

First fill-up on the Sienna and the computer indicated consumption was 6.8l/100km with mixed driving. Have not verified with hand calculation yet but colour me impressed. 80% was my wife driving and she was never even CLOSE to the manufacturer rating on the Acadia. To be 100% transparent, I was never able to get to the manufacturer rating on the Acadia either but I got closer than she did.

That's very impressive.  My Grand Caravan was 12-14L/100km in the city, and I could sneak close to 10L/100km on the highway.  Just to compare to a similarly sized vehicle.

Are you doing mostly highway, or a decent mix?

This tank was about 50-50 city-hwy. Although ratings are the essentially the same city/hwy/combined for the Sienna.

So...what's the point of a 4 cyl sports car when you can has a V8?

My son's trip to AB and back in his Mustang.  Best was at 100 kmh (or it might've been in the mtns, I forget) - the last couple tanks were at 120-125+ kmh on his way home...still less than 10l/100.  Why a GR86 indeed...

When we did our BC trip last year in the CX-5, I too got better fuel economy in the mountains.  I think it's because the speeds are lower, and headwinds are also cut down.

Boat owners are getting killed at the pumps.

Our family boat uses 45 litres to convert the 32 mile round trip to the cottage.   At $2.09/L it's essentially a hundred bucks to get there and back.

And our boat is nothing compared to the boats we see cruising by. $300 day cruises are a regular thing for people.

The Corolla performed flawlessly during my trip from Winnipeg to Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

The worst tanks were recorded on I29 in North Dakota, where the speed limit is 75 mph.  At that speed, the 1.8 is revving at just over 3,000 rpm.  In Minnesota and Wisconsin, the Interstate speed limit is 70 and, on the state highway to the race track, the speed limit was 55.

Overall fuel consumption was 7.0 L/100 km.

Friend's 2000 Bonne SSEi (that's the one with the supercharged 3.8)...taken this AM on his way to Wpg...says he's going 105 kmh.

If true (no reason not to believe him), that's pretty impressive.  Says it does this all day long.  Would buy another in a heartbeat.
