My Daughter on a plane to Afghanistan
« on: April 28, 2008, 08:45:39 pm »
She is on a C-17 going to  Camp Mirage, a staging area in the Middle East, then to Kandahar on a Hercules.
She will be gone for 2 months
Should be an interesting time in her life

In your next e-mail to her tell her the CTC gang all give her a big hug!
Railton
PS. ...and ask her to take a shot of the "Load Master display center" on the flight back home for posting on the CTC site. I sure would like to see it.
Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

Drove by the base in Trenton on Sunday and saw that big white monster with the front section raised for loading. I guess she would have flown out on that?

Hope she stays safe and that all of her memories are good ones. ;)

Best wishes to her, and also to you and Mrs. Balancer - try not to worry to much, she'll be back safe soon enough!
Living in Israel taught me that the parents at home have a harder time than the kids in the army.

We have no worries about her being there
It is the job she chose.
It could be worst, she could have posted to Toronto :rofl2:
