I have nothing but respect for those that volunteer for military duty. Hope she has a safe trip.

I missed this thread.  Wish her all the best, and our thanks for serving our country.

Here’s for a safe return!

Saw her last night on messenger,
They have two computers with cameras, and 10 without, they are allowed 30 min, and can be on longer if no one is waiting
It was about 3 am for her, she have a rough time sleeping with the time zone change
There is 3 different food messes there, US, Dutch and British

They have been to US mess, it was like Uncle Moe's family dinner, probably using the same grease :rofl2:

Wow, AirB... you're a trooper of a dad yourself.  But I think it's great that you are able to use Messenger of all things to keep in touch!  Gotta love technology.

Our troops out there deserve a great deal of respect and honour.  Please pass my salute along to her.

My wife sends most of the time talking with her, it is about 8.5 hrs difference in time zones
she was up early this morning, 4:30 am ( that is is about 8pm, you got love having the laptop on when you watch TV to check if she is on line)
She had a spinning class this morning at 6 am
They were also going to the market today
I guess they let local merchants on the base once a week to sell their stuff

If I hear anything interesting I will let you know :)

Glad she's back. Did she encounter any archaeological finds?

Hide that picture before you are equated with a terrorist!  :rofl2:

Great news.

Now that you have the outfit, can you convince OPEC to increase oil production and lower the price a lot?  :)
