Spring Break
« on: March 07, 2008, 05:06:11 am »
For all of those fortunate enough to be going away this weekend for that little thing called vacation - enjoy. ;)

Snowman enjoy your trip to Mexico. As for the rest of us stuck back here, well I'd say we would throw in the towel, but with another possible 15-20 cm of snow coming to Toronto tonight and tomorrow, nobody would see it!

Have fun everyone and to really rub it in make sure you have lots of pix. ;D

We're heading into the southern Rockies for a week of R&R and one of those R's includes rock climbing.

If the TV news is to be believed 1/2 the population of TO is at Pearson waiting to go on break and they have been there since Friday evening.   That must be terrible especially with kids.

My wife wanted me to take the kids to visit their cousins in the States during the Break.  I'm glad I nixed that idea before it got too far... :)

Very smart move...we used to take the kids out of school and leave the Thursday before March break started ;D

Just about to set out on a 20-hour drive to Utah to do some cycling.

I've been looking forward to the drive, but I'm sure that will change after only a couple hours on the Interstate doing 65 mph with the trailer in tow.  :P

A couple of snaps from Around Moab, Utah.  The first is road riding in Arches National Park. Next is some mountain biking on the Slickrock Trail, and finally, a snap of the ol' Suburban at "Thelma and Louise" Point (haven't seen the movie, but I guess one of the scenes was filmed here.)

We got really lucky with the weather: sunny and in the high teens every day. Perfect for cycling!

Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

More pics please. I  Moab!

We didn't take a lot of photos on this trip, but here's a few more. Looks like I took more pictures of the truck than anything.  :-[

These three are from Arches NP again. We've hiked in to all of the arches on previous trips to Moab, but on this trip we pretty much just did some road riding along the highway.
