Anyone know what kind of extended warranty options VW offers?  and how much they are?

Too many variations, depends on vehicle type, no. of years, total kms, etc.
Our business manager has a 20 X 20 matrix chart just for extended warranty oo the Jetta.
Check with your local dealer.

Will do when the time is right.  Thanks.  :)

I like how the poster from Florida thinks that $2K CDN = $1400US.  Uh, nope.

 :rofl2:

I'm very curious to see the official Canadian pricing for the Tiguan. I was surprised how I much I liked the new little SUV from VW.

I don't consider a source from Florida an official source for VW Canada.

Those are the prices. Weren't reduced like the other models in the line-up, at least not yet.

Even with the smallish hatch, think it blends desirable attributes and I'm enamoured with it.
New Forester seems nice too.

New Forester is a disapointment... starting to look like all the rest...

saw the VW's - still all overpriced (especialy the Tiguan)...reaffirmed my intentions to stear clear of VW... The new Hyundai wagon will put the VW to shame in terms of value, fuel ecn, overall features, warranty...and sales i'm sure

Gee, sounds like you don't like VW much  ???

The Hyundai will be a hatch so it will have a lot less space than the Jetta.
Jetta will have three engine choices, something for everybody.

I think the new Hyundai will be nice but it won't be compared to the Jetta.

I hope VW decides to drop the prices of the Tiguan by $1K-$2K.  That would make it a really competitve product and give them a chance to compete seriously with Toyota... a goal they seem eager to achieve over the next decade.

The prices listed for Toyota models are before the recent $2000 MSRP reduction for the RAV4.

Also keep in mind that for $2,300 less you get 70 hp more with nearly no fuel economy penalty and 3x cargo space just to mention two measurable characteristics.
I compared the RAV4 Sport V6 4WD ($31,690) with Tiguan Comfortline Auto AWD ($33,975).
The pricing was comparable before Toyota's reduction, but not anymore. Now it would be VW's turn to cut the price to get back into the game.

+1

Honda also needs to follow Toyota quickly with their own price reductions.  The CRV is a better selling CUV, but with the new pricing from the Big T, that may not hold up.

Had a disapointing experience with 2 VW. I do like theri looks...gorgeous cars...

I had a VERY bad experience with Martin Grove Motors in Woodbridge as the service manager at that time (early 90's) was a colossal A-hole.. had no clue how to treat customers...

I beg to differ with the Elantra Touring - It's more wagon than hatch... If people could get over the Hyundai inferiority perception, they'd compare there product line with all the big players...I own a Toyo and its been good to me but I think they're boring as hell and somewhat overrated...and over-priced, resale wise...

The RAV4 max tow rating (3500 lbs) is quite a bit more than the Tiguan (2200 lbs).
