The RX-8 RS is waaaaaaay nicer looking than that MS, in my opinion.

Still praying for high-resolution photos of the new RX-8, particularly in that blue with those rims...

Kinda 911 turboish front to it....I like it...and I'm tired of black interiors...bring on the contrasting colours.

Rumor has it they tweaked the suspension.

Not sure why.  The pre-facelift model was known for superb handling and stellar steering feedback.
I figure if they're not going to touch the engine, they could at least do something more with the suspension.  A freshening that includes only a facelift would be pretty lame.

And a tri-shock tower bar is better than nothing.  :P :)

I think it looks incredible!  They did an excellent job with the styling.  Lots of new-gen Mazda6 in the nose, and they got rid of all the unnecessary "hey this car is a rotary!" stuff.  8)

look closely....  ;)

the rim design pays tribute to Dr. Wankel.  :)  that means the new one has more rotary accent than the old.  :rofl2:

LOL, good eye!  This is way more more subtle though, and looks like a legitimate wheel design.

This vehicle is really nice looking, car design sure has come a long way!

I don't see it? Not even close!!

Oh regarding the varied redline -- I see.  S2000 cuts off at 6500 if the engine is cold.

Didn't say it was.  Yes, ghost...it was the proportions of the front side grilles...and the way the chrome strip/signal light "floats" in the grille.

Never noticed when I owned it -- maybe because I'm not an idiot ;) haha

this looks even better :o

  That looks simply brilliant.  If they manage to put a 550HP rotary under the hood and keep the price down, it could be a competitor for the GTR, too.

Am I the only one that sees a hint of Mercedes in the rear end?

it's vaporware right now unfortunately. There are lots of artist renderings of the rx-8 replacement. Like this one...

If hp is your priority I doubt the any rx-cars would satisfy. Mazda's design philosophy has always been light lithe sports cars as opposed to big power mammoths. Even today's pedestrian Camry SE has more hp than the rx-8. hahahahaha

The MazdaSpeed3 called.  It demands to differ.  ;)

FYI, I sat in the RX-8 today.  The seats were FANTASTIC!  There should be pictures in CanadianDriver's Detroit gallery.  The piano black accents looked bad IMO.
