I think it looks incredible!  They did an excellent job with the styling.  Lots of new-gen Mazda6 in the nose, and they got rid of all the unnecessary "hey this car is a rotary!" stuff.  8)

I hope this iteration sticks around for a little while.  It would be a shame to have it go away in say two years.

Rumor has it they tweaked the suspension.  Those seats looks sublime.  I want to know more about the mechanical changes.

Looks sweet  , though, I already liked the RX-8 a lot to begin with.

No change for the Renesis. Wait for 2012. Dipstick now "more accessible" but still requires removal of panel.  ::)

So the 1.6L version they announced last fall won't be coming out until 2012?

Not sure why.  The pre-facelift model was known for superb handling and stellar steering feedback.

If they are refering to this tri-bar brace, then it would be a joke. MKI already has a strut bar.

variable redline is confirmed! woot!  :skid:

It seems Mazda have taken down the page on the 16X rotary that Ghost linked to in this thread from last October: http://www.canadiandriver.com/forum/index.php/topic,54735.0.html

and yet it still schools the "higher hp" competitors on so many comparos.

i don't think mazda is into the hp race. their sports cars do well as an entire package. look at the miata. it is considered the best sports car that everyone can enjoy. same with the rx cars. I doubt even with the 16x engine its hp will be adequate compared to its competitors by the time it arrives. It wins because of its cohesive driving dynamics and thrilling package.

Digital Dash like this one

I remember it would stop at 140 km/ph and just keep flashing 140.

2.8 L V6....I loved that car!

i believe it's like the M3 where it shows you where max rpm is when the engine hasn't warmed up yet. MKI already has it but doesn't have the bling-bling. When its cold, one can only rev up to 4000rpm or thereabouts. Apparently too many stupid noobs complained to the dealers about "my rx-8 doesn't rev high and no power. what is wrong mr. technician?" so new one gets this vari-redline lights.   :P

Personally, I'm not feeling it. The MS version is a little better but it needs some power not more show.
