GTR Crash and awesome video

First GTR crashed apparently in Japan.

But more importantly is the Edmunds video below it!  Car looks better in those videos than the photos that have been going around.

Amazing. Perhaps I should start playing a lottery. I could even live with the x-mas tree taillights.  :)

Car continues to amaze.  They got some really good technical specs from NISMO in this months Import Tuner.  According to them, it is one of only 5 cars in the world that produce significant from and rear downforce.  The other 4 cars are uber-expensive (SLR, Ferrari, etc..)  IIRC the downforce numbers were 185lbs front and rear!!  According to their testing against the 911 TT, that car created 90 lbs of front LIFT! Yikes.....
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

As usual, Edmund's narrator sounds like he's reading a cereal box...  but the performance of the GTR makes up for it.  Impressive numbers to say the very least...

Great video.  A very impressive car, perhaps even more so when the cost/value equation is factored in.
Internal combustion thrust I trust

holy crap! that makes us look bad! (fyi I am from HK)  >:(

First ever GTR ruined by our homeland's citizen... geez. definitely not impressed.

in respond to gotak: yes we do have GTR as gray import because, not like Canada with bunch of regulations and hardship, we can import whatever the car you want! (as long as it meets emission standards i.e. EuroIV or most recent Japan one; and yes, must be RHD or no registration for you unless you wanna use dealer license a.k.a. T-license.) That's why we already have Skyline GT-R as early as 1990s, not like NOW in Canada. Blame the North American counterparts to bring the "wrong" models here. Skylines should have been here along with 300ZX in early 90s... Toyota Avalon should not even been here but CHASER/MARK II/CRESTA/CROWN... you name it.

Quite an attractive car, and it demonstrates that you don't need a lot of glitz if you've got the go.

I didn't even know there were being sold yet.  Hmm... I wonder what the circumstances of the crash were.  "Hey, watch this!"

Isn't the GT-R a paddle-shift only car?

One of the best interiors nowadays IMO. Not overly "futuristic" with cheap aluminum paint like their minivan, no annoying contrasts, just the way a true sport car should be.

Safristi: no worries, one of those knobs ejects the seat, so nothing wasted  :)

Now let's see what's the comments in Hong Kong's forum...

http://www7.discuss.com.hk/viewthread.php?tid=6188145&extra=page%3D1&page=1

For those who speak/read/write Chinese you have nothing to worry about. But I know not many can, so here's the brief summary:

Topic (roughly translated): Hong Kong becomes "famous" once again... (feel the irony/sarcasm?)

And people's comments express the shame that idiot caused to that Skyline... should feel the anger.

Oh yeah, another shot:

Now y'all know what does "lose face" mean...  >:(
