Just watching it now, they have a road test on the new Impreza vs the old one (a very good P1).

Also showing Plato's crash in the Caparo T1, he had to do the touring car races this weekend with his burns still very sore, unfortunately he just missed out on winning the whole championship, I think because he was in pain.

Should be available for download soon.

P.S. They also have another big accident with Tom Ford in a tiny Bedford van, doh!

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

Are they still trying to stoop down to the level of Top Gear?  They have three race capable drivers on their show (VBH, Plato, Tiff), surely they can provide us with some real insight into how these cars drive.  I'm picturing something like a British Best Motoring...

Right right... ratings... short attention spans... yes of course.

:iagree: The show is crap compared to what it could be.  VBH is no racing driver though, in fact she's just bleedin' annoying.  Jason and Tiffany Dell are good, Tom Ford has also got a bit annoying too lately.

I only like watching Tiff. the rest of the gang are a snore. Vicki is annoying as heck these days. Sometimes I wonder if Tiff doubles as The Stig.  :)

a good show 5th gear as for moving away from serious motoring i think it should be half and half, they will never have a chance competing with 5th gear for entertainment, do you guys get any motoring shows??

Their show lacks a certain something. Sure they do tend to do a bit more reviewing but they also waste time talking too much about useless stuff. And because their budget isn't the same as topgear their stunts don't turn out as extreme. Plus you need a jackA** like Jeremy Clarkson to make crazy stunts works.

Yes we getting motoring shows they go something like this:

Here is the new Honda Civic it has 140hp and 120lb feet of torque, it drives well in the city and is a little buzzy on the highway.

Here is the new VW Golf, it has 160hp and 140lb feet of torque, it drives well in the city and is fairly good on the highway too, but reliability is a concern

etc etc.

blah blah.

it's the north american way of reviewing stuff. bland, blander and blandest! Motorweek makes me want to sleep and Tony Whitney in the The New Driving Television drives around as if he is looking for a parking spot and yet he'd spew off something like "This car handles on rails".  ::)
Sometimes I wonder if they just cut & paste off one another's lines and call it a day.
Jeremy Cato & Vaughn is a bit funner to watch because they atleast have an opinion.
Top Gear FTW!

That's feckin' hilarious James!  :rofl2:  :rofl2:  :rofl2: :fiver:

Every time I see an Amercian car show coming on that is reviewing a certain car or brand, I think "ooh, might be good!", then I watch it, and OMFG it's awful!!  All they seem to do is list the stats in the most boring voice possible, like that priest off Father Ted with the reeeallllyy boring voice. ha ha :)

True dat.  Besides, all of the shows in NA are nothing more than a lame infomercial.
