The outside looks like a Golf which is good  but I do wish that the guy who designed the Millenium Falcon be taken off instrument panel design at VW ( and any other mfr for that matter)

I'm not so crazy about this exterior, seen other renderings I'm more excited about.

Isn't that just a 3D rendering by a car magazine, not anything from VW itself?  Basically, a guess?

It does look close to the finished product. :)

Now there's a photo I hadn't seen which is quite telling. Hopefully the elements blend better than in the drawing.

The instrument cluster is like staring into the afterburners on a jet. :o

Lamborghini's supposed to have the rumoured ultra limited edition $1,500,000 sportscar with a jet-fighter-like interior. Wonder if that will look any more advanced? Think it will have to because I can't see how any special edition Lambo could be worth more than a Bugatti.

REAL jet fighters have side stick controllers now... would vw/audi be brave enough for that I wonder ?   That would be neat .   I saw an M-B on Daily planet with one.

So it'll have large thick buttons people with flight gloves can use? And lots and lots of green monochrome screens? Seriously the inside of a flighter jet or the inside of even the newest airliner cockpits aren't that nice to look at. Just buttons after buttons.

VW boss Martin Winterkorn is so sick of the shiny big shield grille of the Eos, Passat CC and the rest that he's ditched the poor bloke who designed them. Probably saves a couple of quid on chrome trim, too.

Sweet!  I really like the fact that the new Scirocco's grille is going to be family face of the updated VW line-up.  Leave the single shield grille for Audi and keep different brand faces.

Pretty nice. Nothing revolutionary...just a evolutionary update of the classic Golf/Rabbit.

I really like VW's designs...interior and exterior (although this new interior looks a bit funky) but the reliability scares the crap out of me.  They need to seriously work on that.  If they do...then I'm sure they can go a long way to achieving their goals of being a top automaker in North America.
