Are there any cars that Clarkson likes? I find him to be a poor read and generally ignore him  :P

He does like these cars...

I'd be happy to have any one of them.  ;D

"So even though Subarus are probably the most reliable cars made – they make Hondas look like South American dictatorships –"

He's apes*** for the C63 AMG, just for the record.

For the most, I think of him as comedy.  It's fun to see how he rips into cars.  Like Kathy Griffith making fun of celebrities, his mocking of cars is hysterical--even if you happen to like the object of his scorn.  For serious car evaluations, I go elsewhere.

NURBURG, Germany — Spy photographers caught a Subaru WRX STI spec C prototype testing on the Nürburgring this week, offering a good look at the rally-inspired design that will herald the WRX lineup.

The spec C promises to be the most extreme, stripped-down WRX variant, cutting 150-200 pounds from the stock STI.

Engine upgrades are expected, along with a higher-performance braking system behind the spec C's trademark white wheels, and a redesigned rear diffuser.

What this means to you: A leaner, more intense WRX STI is coming soon. — Kelly Toepke, News Editor.

Chances of that Spec C ever seeing Cdn roads?  I'd wager either slim or none.  Besides, it'd still likely be $48000 or something silly.

With the new WRX and the new STI receiving a lot of lukewarm reviews, Subaru has already announced that they're dialing up the new WRX (40 more horsepower and a more aggressive suspension).  If Subaru doesn't dial up the new STI as well, the upgraded WRX is going to completely cannibalize STI sales.  I'm almost wondering if this upgraded STI will replace the 2008 STI instead of just supplementing it.
