I'd be interested on how the FZ6 would fare. :rofl2:

Here's how half the population would look like in a crash................
Time is to stop everything happening at once

Awesome link!

1) There will be side airbags for sure in my next vehicle, check out the Mazda 3 side impact video.
edit: The Yaris test shows the same car with and without, big difference.

2) Removed all doubt on the value of frontal airbags. Even when belted, the head hammers the steering wheel area where the airbags deploy.

3) Older vehicles suck. In the 'Classic' Silverado, the seat comes off its track and the dummy submarines while the steering wheel tries to snap its neck off. In the Cavalier the dummies head bounces off the airbag and hits the door so hard it dents it.

This is a really cool post, Thanks. O0

My wife is going to filp when she sees the video of our 2004 Dodge GCaravan getting shmucked. BTW, it is sans SIAB's. :-[

My Jetta did well on front impact, but there's no side impact test.  My Jetta has side airbags in the front seat.   ???

I'm amazed at how the Mazda 3 just crumbled to bits on front impact.  Wow.

The NHTSA has side-tested Jettas for a lot longer than the IIHS has.  So long as you're in a 2000 or later, you're in good shape.

I'm more disappointed by its performance on the side crash.  It looks like the crash barrier goes right through the doors like paper and impacts the dummies directly.

Reality check: different drivers have different priorities.  Why look down your nose at drivers whose priorities are different than yours?

I thought it was one of the more popular activities around here.  :hairtossnosepick:

Don't you find it all a bit much?

Must have 8 airbags, watch your cholesterol, no red meat, more fish but not the ones with mercury, more vegetables, but not from Mexico or China, Bird Flu, SARS, exercise more, but not too much, lead in toys, child predators around every bush, can't let the little snowflakes walk to school, bike helmets for all, pads for playing soccer(?), Terrorists around every other bush, Bush provoking the terrorists, etc etc.

All during the safest period of time in history. I say meh. Man up nancy.

The  2000-2005 BMW 3 series must have been an old one... mine (2003)  has a full set of SABs and head curtains.  The Fit did ok I thought as well
