This week I'll be driving a vehicle that I have to say is probably the least masculine of anything I have ever driven -- not that that is a bad thing.  Not so new anymore, the New Beetle is now in its tenth year on the market -- oh, how time flies. More ...

Not quite 10 years yet.   First year New Beetles were 1998 models that started selling in spring of 1998 if I recall.

Well, should be an interesting week for you then. I can't imagine a car I would rather have less than a new Beetle vert....we'll see.

That fuel guage looks a tad awkward because 1/2 doesn't look quite half (to match the tach?). I guess the red mark indicators mean you're running on fumes?

I miss the orange ones  ;D  Or the Turbo S from the US.

Any car that has a cute round eyed, smiley face of a front and comes with a flower vase as standard equipment is NOT marketed to the male of the species.  ::) :rofl2:

Now if it came with an available gun rack, then...  :o :rofl2:

Actually, I've calculated that there is approximately 10-12 litres left when the red indicators are hit.  The gauge does seem to move faster when it's down in that range, however.

Well...I admit that the vase is an issue, but the MINI also has a cute round eye, smiley face look.  And that car is just as COOL!!
