Nah, nah... no falling dwarves... Although, that new set of tires I'd need for the Miata this year WOULD cover the cost of the lease transfer... hmmm....  :)

Rrocket, definitely no turbo.  The LONGEST I'd possibly have the car is another year and a half when the lease runs out.  Makes no sense to invest that kinda moolah into the car that I'll be ditching.

Just got a drive in Dave's 1er.......

VERY nice, VERY powerful.....

Now I have the double jealousy of being envious of his car while mine is smashed....double whammy.....

Yea..BMW was lying/sandbaggin on the HP for that car.  They are turning up at the dynos laying down 285 RWHP and 290 TQ.  Not too shabby at all!!

WTF???  What happened to your car??? Smashed?

Looks SO much better in person - really didn't like it in pictures, but in person is a different story.

It's also very small.......which I like.

Thanks for the honorable first drive Davey!

Hi all, no time to post pictures or a review yet as I'm totally swamped at work (gotta pay for this car somehow).

The car is incredible!  I'm so happy with the colour and (lack of) options I selected.

It's crazy fast, yet, comfortable.  The first thing my wife said when she drove it was, "it's so comfortable".  Then I drove it and snapped the back end out around a corner.  "Not so comforable" she said. Haha  :D

Anyways, I'm totally in love!

I had a great delivery experience...they threw in some minter mats and a y-adaptor for the USB/iPod thingy.  Only worth a ~ $200...but a nice gesture.

Anyways, a review and pics will come shortly...in a NEW thread!

Geez, what a let down, Wing.

And Dave, 18 hours and no pics.  Oh the shame.   >:(

Vman -- that's some scary :censor: about the SS/SC!  Glad you came out relatively unscathed.  Let's keep our fingers crossed that it's a write-off... then you get the enjoyment of car-shopping when the deals are great!

Since you have no time to drive it I`ll take care of it until you can. A car like this deserves to be driving all the time not sit around in a parking spot all day. What is wrong with you.  :P

Congrats on the new car...can`t wait for the full report and pictures.

Do you think its time for a mental health day?

Need to work on your clout Wing  :P

Sorry to hear it Vmango, but hey, if the insurance covers it and you can get a new set of wheels with the good pricing and availability out there now, may work out. Glad to hear you're okay though.

Dave, what can I say?   :lick:  <--Me jealous.

the 1 series is a legend in the making - fun to drive without the stigma attached to most bmws.   being the smallest of the bmw line it says, hey i am not trying to impress anyone i just love driving, by the way get out of the left lane!!

That's exactly what I see in it. It's kind of like an old-school BMW...

Congrats on the purchase...   !  !  !
