Probably not as good as my Yaris. I too would yield.  ;)

Wonder if it has stability control, SABs, and ABS? Certainly the AWD systems seems capable.  ;)

They use these for coal mining in Germany, where this photo was most likely taken.
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

You can imagine the support vehicles that go with this digger as even the dumptrucks will probably be able to carry 450 to 500 tons of raw material at once as well. They use locomotives sized engines in both types of equipment in these mines. Sure glad I don't have to pay the fuel bill as the Dumptrucks use around 6-8 gals of fuel a mile each in their own right.  :)

Open pit mining is quite impressive.   I've been to one in Abestos Quebec.   You could fit a village in the hole.

I wonder if the drivers of the waiting cars crossed beneath it, or if they waited for the whole machine to cross the road?

Also, wouldn't that thing weigh a ton?  Enough to cause damage to the roadway (even on treads)?

It is riding on a number of tracks which distributes the weight over a larger surface area.  It should flatten any bumps on the road.

I can't seem to sleep tonight.  :(

I think it eats cars for fuel.

So the Yaris would be "A nice, light snack"??  :rofl2:

No, it would be health food.  Like a little 'grape nut' or something.

A Miata would be a nice light snack.  :)

Blimey, even my Morris could outrun that! Just shown the other half, and he reckons I could park my car easily in one of the buckets.
If you had a 4x4, wouldn't you just go around over the fields? Come on, your acceleration has got to be better no matter what you drive, even a milk float could get around that thing!

Most people with 4x4's probably doesn't know how to drive off road.   They'll get stuck and squished.
