Black Pearl
« on: November 16, 2006, 11:41:49 pm »
Got me a brand new Blackberry Pearl.

So far so good, the smaller packaging is great and it's got the slick look...finally.  Much better than the Little Tykes looking 7100r I got last year.

Pros:
Smaller
Better interface
More features
Nicer screen
More efficient
voice dialing

Cons:
No scroll on the side
keys are smaller making fat fingers tougher to type on

It's jewelery.  Goes well with the H700 headset.

I was thinking of getting one of those. Asthetics wise much better looking than the older berries.

But not ready for the world of crackberries yet. That new cameraphone with a 3.2MP camera looks nice too.

Nice but I much prefer the 8400 mainly I can type faster with the keypad. The duel function keys on the pearl would slow me down.

I'm pretty good with it and the predictive text software.

The Pearls are nice, but I'm with Snowy, I think I'd find the keys too small.

I live on my Blackberry and I even find the keys a little too small on my RIM 8700r.

Device convergence is cool.   But given the demands I place on my devices, I need to talk on a phone and be able to type on my RIM at the same time.  That means 2 separate devices for me.
Internal combustion thrust I trust

I lived on the 7100r for a year.  No issues transferring my slim fingers over to the Pearl.  But my concern was the size as well before I bought it.  I have no problems talking on the phone via the H700 and using the Blackberry at the same time.
