It's pretty sad. I'm such an advocate for Dove, actually. I buy a lot of Dove products, not just because they don't endorse that facked up image of what beauty is "supposed" to be, but because their shampoo and conditioner for fine hair is AMAZING!!!

I really like that commercial but I’ve never believed they looked amazing to begin with.  How outdated the movie Weird Science may be now, it wasn’t far off for today’s ads (using computers to create fake women). 

Dove’s latest ads have been using real people (as far as I know) with real body shapes (not super thin) but I wonder what market they really have.  I would think it is mostly people 30-40 and over?  Do young women watch/read Dove ads?

Yes... unless their media buyers are pickin' all the wrong publications for them.  My wife is under 30 and I know the Dove ads really resonate with her.
