I'll show a bit more value in the $605 Convenience Package
1. Premium radio with 6-disc in-dash CD changer ($250?)
2. Diversity antenna ($50?)
3. Front and rear floor mats ($100?)
4. Heatable front seats and washer nozzles ($205)
My bad. We were in his car and he was raving about what a rip he thought the stereo system was (usual for an ex boom box user) and I asked him how much and he said $600, the same price as the Alpine touch screen.
So I checked the invoice and back in March 07 he was charged $400 even for the 6CD and floor mats (floor mats being superficial). The diversity antenna is still a mystery to me. I don't get it. Either they have an antenna that works or it doesn't. I see something in the rear hatch glass at the top and then there is this big long thing on the roof which he shortened. So which part is the diversity
Maybe he didn't get it, because it's not itemized on the invoice.
Redundant now because he has XM.
He was unable to get the heated seats which are a screaming deal at $205. They only car, dealer trade from Pickering VW, with his must have options that had the seats came with the 16 inch alloys and that was a no go for him being a former ricer dude. Here are a few pics of the front lip painted, the wheels which were a screaming deal @ $1250 plus tax(wheels and tires 225/40/18) from VW Owen Sound (one time only price/apparently their cost).
