Yes but rates and residuals are only hold for 30 days for VW.
So if you sign a deal on Aug 31st and the rate or residual changes Sept 1st, you would have to take delivery of the car before Sept 30th or the new rates and residuals apply.

If the rates go down and residuals stay the same, then your monthly payments go down.
But if the rates stay the same and the residual goes down, then your monthly payment goes up.

I want to get the most engine bang for my buck but not pay out of my butt for fuel as I do for my 1.8T Jetta now. I love it but Premium is kiiler these days.

If you were me and Had an automatic 2003  1.8T Jetta 4 dr  and your lease was up on Nov 2nd, what would you get that would be comparable but would be cheaper on monthly payments, cheaper on fuel consuption, cheaper on insurance and would have more cargo space then my current Jetta sedan???

I'm in Outside Sales so I need to lease to write off the payments. Plus the premium fuel is killing me on the 1.8T. last summer I payed $1.50 a litre and had no job...man that sucked. So I don't want to get into that situation again!!

I also use 91 in the 323 CIC and really dont find it to bad. Some place have for only 7 cents more a litre
Do you have a gas allowance?
Talk to an account has you can also write down a cost of the car
But it is nice to get new wheels

Yeah LAST summer not now. But it is still scary how high the prices will go. That's why I'lm trying to unload my fabulous Jetta. If it wasn't for the gas prices me and my Jetta would be life partners!!

Try puting in 89 instead of 91 and save a couple of pennies

The turbo engine requires 91 octaine only. The engine will not run properly and have mechanical problems down the road if running any other fuel. A couple of times my friend mistakenly put in crap fuel but nothing happend and that was only twice. Thanks for the advice though.

Sweet! That's what my colour will be. VW has the best silver colour out there!!

RabbitGal, the 2.5L takes regular oil tho, unlike the synthetic recommended for the 1.8T (not sure if you're using it or not, but most do), so the oil change would still be less. But yes, the in-line 5 does take more oil than most 4 cylinders.

There are lots of deals to be had out there on cars. Shop around. Most dealers can get you out of your lease a few months early too.
