Aston-Martins always look better than Porsches, but Porsches are always more dynamically capable.  I suspect the same will be true with the Rapide and the Panamera.

Form over function or vice versa?

I think it's just that Germans have a really odd sense of style.  Ever walked through a BMW motorcycle dealership?  I mean, who is the guy who penned the F650CS and said, "yes, this is a good idea"?

No, the Empire would never paint a Speeder-Bike the color of hand soap...

I like the looks of the Panamera, I think it will sell pretty damn well and be one the "it" cars much like the Cayenne was when it came out.

It certainly ain't pretty...

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

I'm wondering if it has some camoflauge on it.  I'm waiting for high-res, uncamoflauged photos.

It definitely has, but it's still a monster.

It's big, for sure...but I thought that this was going to be a CLS/Rapide competitor, not a 3-Series/A4 competitor, so I guess I'm not surprised by its size.

Im presuming the tail is of the pop-up variety which lifts at around 75mph+, or more likely just an OTT add-on to disguise the true shape... its roumered to start at £55,000 ($110,000) in Europe, but you'll end up paying less Im sure.

I'm looking forward to the NEW 928s, now Porsche and Audi are in talks to co-develop there cars (as I'm sure you know, Porsche owns around 33% of the VW Audi group) a new 928 looks even more likely.  Apparently its to be based on a modified next generation Cayenne/Touareg/Q7 platform !

Too much platform sharing IMHO, dilutes each brand...

For some reason a Porsche sedan is just frumpy looking. Perhaps I'm just used to always seeing them in coupe format.

I really like it.  I'm not sure why the Panamera is getting such bad press.

The back still isn't quite right, imo...its like they couldn't bear to make it a sedan so they just stretched a 911. But as far as I'm concerned, a stretched 4 door 911 is 10 kinds of wrong.
You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.
That makes me feel angry!
