Winter Tires For 2005 Highlander
« on: October 25, 2005, 10:37:14 pm »
I have a 2005 Toyota Highlander V6 4WD. I am thinking of getting snows for it as I live in the Barrie area, LOTS of snow.

I had Toyos on my previous car and am thinking of the Toyo Open Country G-02 Plus or Bridgestone Blizzak DMZ3. Does anyone have any comments about either tire?

Thanks

We have Blizzacks on wife's Solara; and I have 4 Continental 4x4 WinterContacs sitting at my tire dealers shop waiting for me to take my '05 HL in to get them.

If you're dealing with lots of snow and ice, the Blizzacks should be good. Morty of TireTrends will probably come along and give you more expert advise.

Enjoy your HL. I do.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have the snows for your HL mounted on steel rims?

And I do enjoy my Highlander. Great vehicle. No squeaks or rattles!!!

I have the "B" plg. (or leather pkg) which comes with the alloy 16' wheels standard. I bought 4 of the base HL wheels to mount the snows on. I didn't want black steelies as they would look not so good (IMO).

I have about 6200kms on mine and it's running perfectly. Very pleased with it.  ;D
