Thanks for the feedback.
If someone could send me what the Tucson cost Hyundai and figures that I negotiate..I'd appreciate it tons!
TOTALLY CONFUSED.
You are welcome for the feedback, now just read it carefully. I already posted cost.
22758, plus 799 freight, 89 metallic paint, 2 dealer council assessment, AC excise tax 100.00. $23748.00
Invoice freight included on a metallic colour is about $23800, compared to the MSRP obviously there is little margin here. About $1100.
Jedda, the website is still priceing '05's, the 4cyl AWD wasn't available in '05.
Look at my post, the MSRP is not indicative of the out the door price. $25019 with freight and metallic paint. About $1100 total margin as I stated above. Plus excise, plus PDI($varies by dealer, we charge $394, includes block heater and carpeted floor mats and tank of fuel. There is no mark-up in that, that is the direct cost to the sales dept from the service dept). puts you at $25513.00. Plus lease aquisition fee $350, a charge from Financialinx and outside the dealers' control. $25863.00.
Now I just ran this through the lease abacus, and the payment based on the above is $338.68 plus tax $389.48 at 15% sales tax. Plus your drive away cost of $289 plus any dealer admin fee.
This is much less than what you are quoted, so there obviously they are using a number somewhat higher than msrp. Or included in the quote optional life/disability coverage. Some dealers add local charges to their cost, including a "lot pack" or "writedown" which covers lot insurance, damage, and other incidentals. Adding $600 for such still brings the payment under $350 before tax, about $40 cheaper than your quote (which equals to a mystery $2000 somewhere)
$1100 margin is very reasonable, and the Hyundai's are priced to value.
Hope that helps.
