The e-brake lever was sure close to the driver, but it seems to me that when the lever was released, it is pretty much flush with the rest of the center console / tube / column / whatever-you-call-it. The the e-brake was engage, it was poking out towards the driver every so slightly. I'm pretty thin myself, so my thigh was a good 3 inches or so away from the lever.

For bigger folks, their leg might butt right up against it. But it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

You can't use a straight currency exchange to determine prices from US to CDN in cars.

The US 2002-2005 SI was listed @19,320 USD (never changed  and today on that exchange site that works out to 22,869 CDN.  The SIR was always listed @ $25,500 here from 2002-2004.

I know that, because the WRX STI would sell for the price of a standard WRX here... 30K US = 50K Can??!!

But if you look at the US Honda line-up a Accord Coupe sells for 21K US, that's the price autoweek said the Si should sell for. So when you go to honda canada website, the Accord sells for 26K. So I think the Si will be in the 25K. Anyway, more than that and sales will start to suffer.

On many if not most vehicles we Canadians tend to pay more for cars than Americans.  For special vehicles like the S2000 and STi we pay tens of thousands more.  Boo.

S2000 is $30k USD, iirc?  And $50k in Canada.  Makes it worth the hassel of buying in the states and importing it...

33150$ US for a S2000...

That makes me wonder why we don't see them on the road that often here but on every 4 corners in the US...

I agree that the Si will come in at below $26K.  A steal compared to the previous SIRs.  What it will do below 26K is kill RSX sales.  Like who would buy any version of an RSX when the SI is cheaper than all.  As far as styling the Si has it all over the 05 RSX,  IMO. ;)  I would only think that in the next year the auctions will see a huge increase of 160HP 5 speed RSXs coming thru at bargain prices.

Probably because it never occurs to anyone to import a car...  the only people who would do it would be people who really want an S2000, or people who realize, "Hey, wait a minute!"
