Winter Tires for Odyssey 2006
« on: October 07, 2005, 04:13:21 pm »
Hello everyone,

I was wodering if anyone could help me out here: I'm a recent proud owner of a new Odyssey 06 and was told that only Brigestone makes the 235/65/16 (Blizzak WS-50) winter tires for the Odyssey. My question is: Is that true? If so, Is there other tires with different dimension that would fit the Odyssey as well? Would those be equally effective during winter driving? Any good tires (brand and dimension) to recommend for this minivan? Thanks.

Bridgetsone is the only manufacturer building winter tires in this size. We have had some customers running 215/70/16, but it does have a lower load rating. This means the tire is not capable of carrying as much weight. If you do have a habit of carrying a lot of passangers or cargo you will want to stick with the Bridgestone.

You can read last year's thread on 2005 Odyssey winter tires:

I have the Blizzak WS-50 on my EX-L/RES and they are great winter tires which also handle well in dry/wet weather on our van.
