Subaru forced you to take Limited before getting 6-speed stick. Either you have to take a good value package with manumatic or take an overpriced version with stick. :-X

I pretty much had my mind set on this one until I started looking at tires/rim combinations. YIKES!! I guess I wasn't paying attentionm when the initial specs came out. At this point the  Legacy GT looks pretty good now.....

No. according to Subaru.ca it still lists the base Legacy GT sedan having a 'reinforced' 5MT. Unless the website is wrong.

read Lawrence Yap's article on the MS6. Did anyone notice how large the wheel gaps are on one of the pix in TO star?! It seemed nicely appointed. But like other magazines on it, it doesn't handle that well. In fact worse than the regular Mazda6.

Perhaps the handling is not up to LGT standards. But it is an effective way to remove all the torque steer that is found in the FWD cars with over 200 HP. For $36k it has no competition other than the LGT…….unless you want one of them 3300 lb European weaklings.

Interestingly Yapper, listed WRX amongst the MS6's contenders not the Legacy GT.  ::)

I noted on Sunday that the local Mazda shop has a bright red MS6 in the showroom with a big SOLD sign on it..!!

Couldn't check it out as the shop was closed.

Let us know, Snowy.  8)

There is one in Ajax, but is not available for test drives.  :'(
There was one I found searching the Globe and Mail Auto's section - incorrectly priced at $23,885!!  I offered to buy it sight unseen.  Further investigation showed this was a "error" on both the website, and their internal price sheet. Yeah, big surprise... the salesperson was disappointed and asked if there was anything else she could do to get me into the car.... (cue Saffy)

That's like one of those internet price errors Wal-Mart or some store had awhile ago. Get like a $99 dollar product for $0.99.

Nice try tho!

I'll have to stop by Ajax tonight.

Wow ….not what I expected. The MPS6 is not overly gaudy in styling vs. the regular 6. The hood bulge is more subtle than I expected and the rear lip spoiler is also toned done compared to the whale tail on the GFX pack. The lower grill is slightly larger which will absorb the license plate better.

The interior has been upgraded and was comparable to the LGT I tested before. I did not like the slippery leather seats and cloth would be the way to go for sure. I found the side bolstering to be adequate but not as comfortable as in my WRX.

I have changed my plans for the weekend as I have booked in a test drive on Saturday morning…..more details to come with pics on the weekend.

Good plan.

I thought the test drive was coming now, but instead you're keeping us in suspense!

So far how would you say she's lookin' tho?

Very good, most people would not even be able to differentiate form the 6 with GFX. In fact the GFX packaged 6 parked beside it looked flashier. The exhaust tips and small Mazdaspeed 6 logo are the only key clues. The 6 parked beside it also had 18” wheels. I can’t wait for the test drive.
