Don't even think about driving that car without 4 snows if you actually drive in snow.

Don't expect great gas mileage just because it is a 2.0 Honda.  Anything over 3000 rpm and it will start to drink it.  Only the S takes premium.

The only other thing negative about it is the 5 speed, but that might not matter to you being that you probably don't commute or get on highways that average 120 to 140 kph.  At those speeds the drivetrain is a buzzing and it sucks big time.

The new Honda SI or SIR (whatever they end up calling it) with the 6 speed will be a honey of a vehicle if they keep the price point to $25,500 as it essentially has the RSX Type S powertrain.  Too bad they didn't lower the compression and make it a 87 octane car.

IMO, when the Honda Si comes out and if it comes out at $25,500. we will see alot of  RSXs  (non type S) hit the wholesale market.

Don't know if you made a decision yet, but if not the RSX is a great car.

I have had mine since it came out in '02. Not a single complaint in 41/2 years and 100% trouble free. Basically just regular maintenance... But forget reliability, this car is all about the drive and the driver. It is tones of fun and puts a smile on your face. Great handling, great engine and great sound the elements of a fun car!

The only thing I would change is the stock tires (no good for summer or winter) and GET WINTER TIRES. I live in Montreal and we get a lot of snow (probably not as much as you get in BC) and the winter tires add a lot of grip (I used Dunlop Graspic DS-1). Never got stuck in the snow.

Too bad I will be selling the car soon. #$%^ It is great (snif), but need more room for the kid on the way. That's life I guess.
