... Is there something new at that lnik that's already been posted?  ???

Nope, but I can tell you that a dealer confirmed paddle shifters for me. He also said that he expects a fully loaded CSX with Navi to come in right around 30K. Repeated what we already know that it will have between 155 and 200 hp.

*no* dealers have been briefed on the CSX/EL, Honda hasn't brought any info out to them, so he's either very, very well connected or blowing smoke up your @ss  ;D

He was a dealer very near Alliston and gets info from "associates" coming in to buy their cars. He was very clear that they had not received official information yet. Oh, he mentioned that the auto trans has a special position you move the shifter to (bottom and over I think) in order to use the paddle shifters.

Here's a pic I cropped out of the Edmunds spy video. I think this is clearly the CSX. Note the HID's, the "angel eyes" around the DRL's, the five sided grill...

^ That looks like this Euro Civic.

Throw on the Acura badge and I think that's pretty much it.

That sure looks like the car in the spy shot...  Even the mirrors have the same side markers...
Could be a link to the Euro connection I've been hearing about from higher ups...

CSX should be more than just slap an Acura badge and nicer leather seats, like the current car does.

I tend to think it looks more like the JDM civic as in this pic (note the dual pipes) borrowed from a post at vtec. Maybe it shares an interior with europe? Hopefully not the suspension  ;)

The photo cropped from Edmunds is just the regular 'ole Civic with the grille taped out.

Why are you all expecting the EL to be this big departure from the Civic? It's a Canada-only car, manufacturered at the Alliston plant. I would bet it simply has the JDM lights, more goodies and different leather and trim pieces, and possibly a bump in power.

We are expecting that because that is what has been told to dealers from HCM. Yes the exterior is looking the same so it is my expectation that the interior and/or drivetrain will be significantly different. I'm betting on 180 and 200 hp versions of the K20z. If I am right, I get new car payments and a great car to drive. If I'm wrong, I keep what I have and no car payments for a while longer ;).

out of all the civics i like the five door hatch that europe is getting the most.    so the civics will be here in a couple of weeks? and the acura will be here in november??

Yep, November 8th was what I was told for the CSX.

I doubt CSX will use hybrid powerplant as standard engine.

That European Civic Hybrid has some funky subtle Batmobile like fin on it's lower corners. Different.

I doubt it'll be hybrid.

Also doubt it'll be hard to resist a drive when they arrive.

Info is tricking out...  it's a massaged 1.8L with 155HP in a civic sedan with JDM lights, Navi and HID options.

You wanna know why gas price is so high?  Cuz the demand is high.
Why is the demand so high?  Cuz we have people that goes like:

boo...155hp only...was expecting at least 160-170hp...still less than a Mazda3...

So car manufacturers are under pressure to make the bigger and more power engine (even for their economy car) to compete.

Honda rarely overrated their hp, so 155hp should be "real". ;D

Reason why i said 160-170 hp is because i thought they might use the K20 in it instead of the R18...
Besides, the middle of 140 and 200 is 170hp...which doesn't seem that far off when EL was underpowered for a quite a while.

I'm guessing the EL should have the suspension settings from the coupe to distinguish itself from the civic sedans...hence more sportier...
