few weeks ago there was a carshow at a luxury car condo building on the way home.  I have a friend there I haven't seen in a while so I stopped by to say hi and take few pics.   This place has tons of cars but I only took couple pictures.

Lambo truck,  hideous looking lol.

I was in Guelph recently. Stopped in at a brewery and was very surprised to see a Vinfast dealer across the street.

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach the man to fish and he wakes you up at 5 in the morning.

Went to fill up my car and a small jerry can at my local Canadian Tire gas bar last night. Like most CT gas bars, its next to a retail store with the big (I think?) level 3 FLO EV chargers. I noticed someone arrive just after me to charge their EV. As I am filling I can see them fussing with the charger, their phone, etc. in an attempt to start charging. I finish filling my car, the small jerry can, check my oil level, record my mileage and fuel amount in my logbook and then leave the gas station. I notice as I drive away that the poor EV owner is still fussing with the charger and their phone and have not even connected the charging cable to their EV yet. Maybe EV's are the future, but we are certainly not ready for mass adoption just yet. YMMV

One should just tap a credit card and go.

Hydro-Quebec's Circuit Électrique charger network is pretty sturdy, they always work. Outside Quebec it's a casino game.

The few that I've tried required downloading some sort of app, creating an account, adding billing into, etc. Always gave up before ever getting a car to charge.

Agreed, just like at the gas pump. However, clearly that is not the current reality.

Yep. In one case it counts litres of fuel and in the other - kWh's. It should eventually come to a simple tap and go.
As a side note, it's surprising Americans are ok with kWh's and are not insisting on BTUs or some such  ;D

Yep!

Making things needlessly complex.

Imagine having to download and app to pump gas for each gas station you use?

EV companies, owners, utilities, etc like to crow about behind ahead of the curve but in this most critical area they lag far, far behind.

I keep seeing these everywhere. Guess people are sick and tired of having to wait for Toyota to fulfill orders. Warranty is better too. The PHEV may not be comparable on gas mileage with Toyota hybrids but as a city run-about it moves on electrons just fine.

IIRC it's a re-badged Nissan with its famous CVT (ICE version)

Yeah, the current Outlander is a re-skinned Rogue. I can't say I've spent any appreciable time with one, but dare I say, the current Rogue isn't bad.

And the gasser Outlander kept Nissan's 2.5 litre four, while the Rogue is only sold with the VDC turbo 3 - better warranty AND more trusty engine at Mitsu. But I back you up on the Rogue - it's nice than the RAV and CR-V IMHO. Big windows, fantastic seats.
