Driving to work yesterday I followed a Malibu Maxx for a bit, and coming back I came accross my first Ioniq 6 in my 'hood, a base model like the one below. It's like 60 years separate these two!

I'm probably in a very small minority, but I prefer the styling of the Malibu over the Ioniq.

I'm with you all the way, that Ioniq looks like a movie/video game production that makes up cars so they don't have to buy the rights to real ones. Not a good looking car from any angle.

Actually looks better in person.  It's got a bit of Mercedes Benz CLS in it.

+1. Quite the stunner in person.

Agreed. I've seen then at the dealership and it's very striking and looks very premium.

And then this morning, when I took my wife's motorbike in for its first service, there was actually one car in the new car showroom - which is one more than average.

This thing does not suck in any way whatsoever.

Did you happen to see what the Markup is on the Type R?  It's the only reason I could think of why it's sitting.

Nope,.price not shown and no sales staff around at 8 am. I had a very strong "shut up and take my money - take ALL my money" impulse that thankfully passed.  ;D

The first, below, is the new toy picked up by a good friend of mine.  We've been trying to find time to get together all summer, so this was my frst time clapping eyes on it in person.  Pure sculpture.

Beauty.  When do you get the Ferrari experience on the road?

Hopefully some time before the snow flies.

It reminds me of the old Skodas, with the rear engines, for some reason, and not in a positive sense

Someone I know compared to the rear of the Ioniq 6 to the 911. I guess I sorta see it.
How drunk were they?

 :rofl2: :rofl2:

I have also seen them in the wild and it looks all melted and droopy to me. Similar to the recent gen Sonata which I am also not a fan of.

Copying the Mercedes CLS form. Not a fan. The Civic is ugly too.

A Mazda5 with a manual.  I only realized it was a manual when it started rolling backward toward me.

A Chevrolet Citation 5-door in very good condition, same colour combo as this example.

One for Bubba.  Georgia car originally.  Original colour as well, but I think he said the matte black on the rocker area was suggested by the painter.  Owner was on the fence about that part but I think it looks great.

Nice looking car.  Appears to be a 1969 model.

Saw the ultimate form of Big Altima Energy this morning. Newer Altima, damaged front bumper, no rear bumper, running on a donut, with an expired Ontario plate passed me at 140km/h+ in a 110Km/h zone this morning.  :rofl2: I almost had to pull over I was laughing so hard.

How fast were you going to see the plate was expired?  :D

Yeah, we got rid of them in Alberta too. Tried to peel my old ones off, but quit because it was making a mess.

Sometimes I wonder if I’ll go out of province and get hassled because my plate sticker reads February 2021.  :-\

Looks like an Olds Aurora.
Don't you dare sully the name of the Aurora by comparing it to this monstrosity

First time I saw a Ionio6 I got 90s Infiniti J30 vibes.  The Ionio6 styling seems like something only Hyundai fan boys would like.  So you have to be careful around them, they seem to be very sensitive  and  insecure group.
