On the way back to the office with a presser I spotted a mint 3rd generation Toronado in traffic, tan with brown padded rear roof and wire hubcaps. My fave Toronado! These really nailed the formal look and had "just right" proportions. In fact the thing looked tiny between a Civic and an Elantra. Narrow "square"body, low height and dropping trunk line give out this impression. And it looked positively small when next to a Ford Edge.

There's one in my hood.  Doesn't get out much and wasn't sure if it was still around but I did see the back-end sticking out of the garage a couple of months ago.  The owner's daily is a Caddy DTS.

Sounds like an individual of fine tastes  ;D

Toronado is cool, but I'd rather have a tenth gen Eldorado, same platform, but cleaner styling IMO

I like the earlier model, with the hidden headlights and the 455 ;D

^ Agreed, love that design.   FWD though i believe.  :-\

Edit:  DOes you RV have the same/similar drivetrain as that FWD Olds?

That is also my preferred Toronado but I like the Jay Leno modified RWD ± 1000Hp version too!

Its one of the only FWD cars that I like and respect. That Tornado is just a good looking car, white one not the brown one.
Lighten up Francis.....

Fun fact, in 1992 GM trialed an early version of GPS in the Toronado that was only available as a Hertz rental in Orlando. It had a touchscreen CRT display.

Yup, 455 Olds mated to a TH425.   There are a few peculiarities to the GMC, but most parts are the same.    Eldorado of same vintage was similar, but with a Caddy engine.

Stopped in at the local BMW store today and got to poke around the new 7 series. The car is HUGE, the seats are comfy as anything I’ve ever had the pleasure to sit in, the tech is amazing, and honestly, it actually doesn’t look all that bad in person. It really has presence. Sticker was only 189k for this 760 V8.

So so so much tech on board that, almost overload. The outgoing 7-series was one of my favourite cars on the road, a total missile to drive on the highway. This one I'll have to try to really come to a conclusion on.

That said, the looks are sort of growing on me...

Driving back a loaner to the furthest out manufacturer Monday morning. -4°C, windchill -9 °C. Roads were dry, but some ice patches on local streets and snow in parking lots. What do I spot on the 100 km/h T-Can highway? A Caterham !!! (looked too "new" to be a real 7). Guy had some frozen cojones. Sides screens were installed in an attempt to have body warmth heat the cabin. Amazing how small these things are in the wild... Pics below from BaT. The one I saw was stainless / black.

Are they ever small. I thought they were Morgan sized, and unless my memory is tricking me, didn't think a Morgan was that tiny

They are definitely smaller than a Morgan....Maybe 70% of the size of a Morgan.

While turning on to a hwy entrance ramp earlier today I noticed a guy in a jacked-up bro truck going the wrong way down the hwy exit ramp.  He started to back up but then just gave up and drove over the two curbs and across the median to get to on to the entrance ramp.  :rofl2:

With the December 1st legal deadline looming, tons of people are having their tires swapped at shops all over the place, and all at once. Every year it never gets old: what does a mechanic do first when a car rolls in? Turn off the auto headlights. What will the customer never do? Turn them back on  ;D So many cars driving around on with the lights off...
