Seen on the parking lot at work, a VW Passat Wagon W8 (AT) 4 motion. It appears to be owned by one of our younger mechanical engineer.

Interesting, I didn't know VW has a half W16 engine in the wild  :rofl2:
You could get it in the sedan with a manual too.

He told me tried to grab wagon W8 manual but none pop up while searching ..

That's very cool, if a little terrifying.

Its only terrifying if you own it, for everyone else its entertainment!

One of our engineers has one just like that, dark blue and manual.
His other car is an E39 BMW 540, also dark blue manual wagon.
Both are in mint condition and he usually drives one of them to work.

Not may people have so understanding and generous wives.

I owned a new B5.5 Passat sedan for 18 months. Basic 1.8t sedan, manual with plastic wheel covers. First 12 months were fine, then it spent 35 days at the dealership over two months. That's how our first Odyssey came into our lives  ;D

Working from home today, but this showed up on the route to work this morning. A bit of a mystery so far

Interesting. Driving on the path and lost control? Possibly stolen joy ride.

Looks like tire tracks across the path so the driver went down the side of the hill, spun around at some point, across the path, then up the support. That is my CSI report.

Spotted an original Tesla roadster (in white) in my 'hood this week, returning from WFW. First time I've seen it...

^^^ That's great.  Honestly, if you're able to commute to work by bike, electric skateboard, electric scooter, etc, you should be doing that anytime the weather co-operates.  It saves you money, reduces congestion, reduces demand for gasoline, and more importantly, is a heck of a lot more fun that sitting in traffic in your car.  Applies to anybody who can, to be honest.

I cycle-commute to work most days in the summer, and wouldn't change it for anything.

Saw a beautiful, blue Lotus Esprit this morning. Damn near drove into a pole gawking at it, what a gorgeous car. Looked a lot like this, rims and everything.

Lighten up Francis.....

I walk to work more than 95% of the time. It's great.

Used to walk/cycle/skateboard every day when I lived closer to work, but at 12km with a valley in the way it dropped to once or twice a week.

Even worse now, with our hybrid system there's only one day where I'm not lugging a laptop back and forth, and if it rains that day I'm out

Nice to get out on the board though, even if I feel today like I'm recovering from a hard day snowboarding

Not very interesting but a Passat TDI.....Oh no wait, it was just the regular 2.0T. Damn I already forgot how noisy that engine is despite driving one for 13 years.

A Chrysler 300M Special.

Firm and I discuss how much we like these at least once a year... we once went to check one out to potentially buy for him as a press car leave behind. It was too clapped out, unfortunately, and this was close to a decade ago.

^^Terrible cars.

Actually rented that exact car for a trip to TO once.

Even the Chrysler employee I was with thought it was a giant turd.

Though I did have a friend who had an Intrepid R/T..and HE loved it.

They were literally exactly the same as the R/T. I had an Intrepid R/T that I loved (I was 17-21, give me a break  :) ), and swapped a bunch of 300M Special stuff onto.

The 300M Special got 18" wheels, unique springs, a 5hp tune through the PCM, and firmer shifts in manual mode. Those were the only performance differences, and the weight difference wasn't all that much.

If you think the Special was a turd, so was the R/T.
